They killed Billy! Rosalyn was grooming him for great things in the future, and he was the last old guard close advisor of hers left. I kept thinking back to that scene with then-Commander Adama saying "We need to have babies," and then the two of them flirting awkwardly and the possibilities of a crappy mish-mash thrown-together wedding scene. Then he gets turned down because of that forced Apollo love-triangle thingy, and now he's dead pointlessly.

EDIT: Before I forget, Ellen Tigh must die, which probably means she won't.

Good episode, but not without faults. The marines that came in after Starbuck were idiot redshirts who were offed very easily due to them diving in suddenly. Ellen is a fucking moron. I was pissed when Apollo took that guy's gun, then went out to talk. Why not let his new found bullets do the talking?

I love how the Cylons aren't the real enemy here: the humans are.

Billy dead. Rest in peace.

Ellen Tigh *and* Apollo are both fucking idjits. I agree. And, if I may rant, the whole love-triangle bullshit really has me pissed at the writers. They threw it in for no good reason, had the way it started super-contrived, and now Billy, one of my most adored characters, is dead, and has died an empty, meaningless death. Sure, he proved his love for D, but for WHAT?! Now he's dead, and nothing is stopping that stupid little vile asshole from keeping on fracking Apollo. I kinda liked D early in the show's running, but now I want her to get fucking spaced. She just pisses me off.

Yes, a decent episode, but fundamentally flawed. 2.5 Vipers out of 5. I'm tempted to make it 0 for them fucking killing Billy.

I hate the love triangle bullshit too, and I hope Apollo just says to her "look, I'm a fraking officer you are enlisted. It is done!"

As to Billy, the actor had to leave because he was offered a lead role on another show. Moore in the podcast said he didn't want to do it, but keeping the actor as a minor support on BSG passing up this new job would hurt his carrer, so he gets shot.

Ah... That makes sense. I didn't see the podcast, so I didn't know the wiser.

Adama really needs to tell Kara that she is just a pilot, not some super soldier. He should make it a priority.

I really want to say that Ellen Tigh is a Number Six, just one that was decanted thirty-forty years ago. But she just keeps proving herself a self centered bitch. I want old Cylon agents, darn it!
