#1 Ugliest Starships

Post by Ra »

What do you think are the ugliest starships in sci-fi? This is kinda inspired by the Trek ship thread on SDN, but I've expanded it to include any universe.

Some of my choices:

1: Star Trek DS9 Kitbashes, especially the Yeager, Elkins, and "Trident".

2: Steamrunner-class. It's kinda grown on me, but this still ranks as the worst of the FC ships.

3: The Star Wars Dreadnought. It looks like a flying dildo. Just face it. Same goes with the Lancer frigate, although it's not quite as bad. The best Imperial ships are always shaped like a dagger plunging through the heart.

4: Most Star Trek fan designs, especially the Luna-class. Hey, let's marry an Akira and a Sovereign, while sticking a torpedo pod randomly on the saucer! W00t!

5: The ID4 mothership. It looks like a gigantic cockroach, and that just doesn't sit well with me. I hate roaches.

6: The Klingon Bird of Prey. Looked awesome in ST III, but it's mainly the fact that it seems to be made of inflatable material, changing sizes even between scenes, and was used as a frickin' space viking marauder ship, when it started out as a scout ship, that bugs me. I hate the BoP, as much as I hate TNG + Klingons.

Meh...

I just tend to prefer ships that don't look like masive spiked-balls
