#1 Stargate this week

I liked both episodes. SGA was quite good, the Genii are always a good opponent, and the Wraith friend was pretty awesome. Good stuff.

SG1 was also cool. I was really hoping they would have set up that Ori ship the bomb and actually destroy it, but still good. That Jaffa leader almost had me convinced, but he jumped the gun on blaming Landry, which was a bad call.

And Adria has grown into a hawttie.

She has been that the whole time.

As a child, she very much reminded my of Alia from Dune, quite scary and powerful, even in the apparently unthreatening form.

Yet another instance of one of my pet peeve brainbugs, the super-aging that leads to hair changing colors. Hair isn't alive. It isn't going to magically change color if someone's magical life energy gets sucked out because, not being alive, it wouldn't have any magical life energy. Hair falling out I can take, but not magical color changing.

And yes, I'm totally ignoring the stupidity of magical life energy getting sucked out of people's bodies in the first place.

This week: SG-1 was ok, felt again like a rehash of same old same old.

SGA was awesome. I am a big Rodney.. or shall I call him Meredith?! You really can't go wrong with him nor Shep. Those guys carry the show.

I enjoyed the way his sister was played by the actor's real life sister, and I also completely agree with her on NDAs but that's not relevant.

Moving on, the ZPM is depleted, which should have consequences.

I througholy enjoyed it though.

SG-1 was indeed the same ol' same ol', but since it had shirtless, pantless Ben Browder, I can forgive it a little. (Handcuffed to bed, only in some kind of underwear which could barely be peeked for a moment, pulling up the sheets as he watches basketball and eats snacks, saying, "It's not what it looks like!")

MEREDITH!

I dunno about the ZPM. They really should have problems, but they should have had problems when they POINTLESSLY BLEW UP PROMETHEUS but NOOOO, they had their new toy all ready to go.

The important thing here is MEREDITH!

Aye, the SG-1 plot wasn't impressive, but I do like the Daniel-Vala interactions, and Cam is a cool guy, a worthy successor to O'Neill.

That is the best moment of the episode, no doubt. That was good.

And the crossovering of SG-1 and SG-A: I like them, too. McKay + Carter = goodness.

And here's hoping more of McKay's sister in future episodes.

I liked how the child never met Rodney before, had no real clue who he was... and glomps him. "What'd ya bring me?"

Yeah, it's funny how kids like him even though he doesn't seem to like them much. Also how socially inept he is even with himself.

Sam was having a good day. Learning of Meredith, and making jokes about Cam with no pants. Were they all watching him dress?

Well, SG1 beat SGA this week. SGA felt like yet another rehash of an old SG1 plot, and was pretty forgettable.

I liked SG1 though. The little enemies are far more interesting to me than the Orii.

Both were good this week. As always, big fan of Ba'al and Adria is still a hawttie.

The bottomless pit room was done once before, with Sam having to help some native along... was that an Ancient test or an Asgard test? I almost think the one on my mind is in "Thor's Hammer". Oh well though.

SG-A, good to see the Pegasus Replicators back, and back to kick some arrogant ancient ass like they deserve. But hell, better ancient than us. I liked it, and RDA is awesome so plus bonus for that.

Pretty excited about both shows returning, and next week, Doctor Who returns, and after that nBSG. It is almost as if Sci-Fi wants me to continue watching their channel while waiting! Who'da thunk it. Exciting all around.

SG-1: Did anyone else think, "Hey, it's a standard RPG plot" while watching it? Adventurers wander into a village, where the villagers just so happen to give them information they need, and they have to have a fight and solve a bunch of puzzles to get to the end, where the End Boss shows up and they have to defeat him?

But yeah, Ba'al is great. I think he has a thing for strong women like Sam and Adria, but he just won't admit it. And I laughed when he scarfed down the energy bar.

Also, like the new intro, where Vala comes running in to go through the Stargate and joins the rest of SG-1.

SGA: The wee little turtles! Poor little buggers. And considering how arrogant the Ancients are, it's no wonder they got their asses kicked.

Was it Siler who got zatted? It looked like it, and he's always having the bad luck.

What is the deal with Carter being the focus of the rage?

You mean from Adria?

Speaking of RPGs, or perhaps MMORPGs, I think I was more annoyed with the WoW joke than amused. I don't even play it, and I was saying, "You can't get to 75! The level cap is at 60!...Mage isn't a race...hey, there are lots of girls playing it!" But that's just me being picky, I guess.
