#1 ST: TOS question regarding the organians
What the hell happened to the organians? Is there anything in any of the books about their disappearance? Because considering they intervened to stop the federation and klingons from going to war, its hard to understand their absence later on in the timeline (during the events of ST3 and ST6 in particular).

I vaguely remember a comic book where they decided to pack up and jet and wiped everyone's memories of their existence.

Yeah... According to Memory Beta
The Organians temporarily left the material plane (perhaps by choice) in the year 2285, after apparently being manipulated by the Excalbians. This resulted in the disolution of The Organian Peace Treaty and allowed the Federation and Klingon powers to forge a peace on their own terms. (TOS comics: "Errands of War", "Deadly Allies")
