the TV Dresden had its good parts.
What GoT has going for it is HBO itself. No need to cut back on any of the dirty nasty bits that would have the TV Censors choking on their coffee.

Hell I'm not sure why the Sci-Fi channel does. They're a paid for Cable Channel not basic TV. Live it up a little guys!

Game of Thrones is a very compelling and highly detailed low fantasy setting with a long list of interesting and very human characters. It's basically the story of several noble families caught in the midst of a brutal civil war in a feudal kingdom. Large battles and intrigue galore, as well as an encroaching otherworldly threat from the forgotten past.
