I've been catching up on episodes lately, and I have to say they've been getting pretty dark. First, the whole resurrection of Megatron, then Breakdown's capture by MECH.
I have to say that MECH is turning into a very nasty, scary bunch of fanatics.

well, I've been neglecting this thread I see. So let's have some updates :
StarScream doublecrosses and gets crossed in turn. Poor baby can't fly no more
Arachnia crosses the line with Megs, but finds New Friends to play with.
MECH can has Transforming Robot? Not for more than one episode ... or did they? MECH has the tech, and thanks to StarScream and Arachnia, they have the ability and a ready test body.
But tonight's episode was the funniest, IMHO. Fowler getting a debrief made a good ClipShow, while still being highly entertaining.

I caught this on Netflix yesterday. So far, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm still on s1, but it's fairly solid so far.

Megatron is right. Prime is getting ruthless.

It was a very fitting end to Silas.
Though I'm pretty sure M.E.C.H. was more than a couple of dudes in a warehouse in the middle of no where.
And I have a feeling we will see C.Y.L.A.S. again eventually

I don't think they're going to put him back together

Season 2, Episode 20 "Legacy"
Holy shi....the Star Saber, aka Prima's Sword (Prima being the First Prime).
And it's now in Optimus' hands.
Looks like next week Megatron will finally get the Forge of Solus Prime operational, and make the Dark Saber.....
Also, according to Hasbro's Aligned Continuity (which includes Fall of Cybertron and TF:Prime) the Requiem Blaster was another of Solus Prime's creations, used to defeat Unicron....and is currently at the center of the planet of Junk....which grew around it after it was cast from Cybertron after The Fallen's betrayl....
I wonder if the Skyboom Shield is a thing in Prime, and where it could be.....

Don't know about the Blaster, but it is possible the Skyboom Shield is on Earth, just like the rest of the Artifacts. Now, the question is, Why Earth? Did they show up here due to Unicron's presence? Or did Alpha Trion have something to do with it, since we have a whole graveyard of Cybertronians on Earth from centuries before?
Smokescreen was a guardian of the Hall of Records, so the Artifacts were still there before he was knocked offline. Alpha Trion was there, in charge of the Hall and the Artifacts, but no one knows his fate. Smokescreen, the one who last saw him, was knocked out too early in the battle. (Which, to me, is odd... by the flashback, he was knocked out just as the 'Cons broke in but before he ever engaged them. I have to wonder if Alpha Trion put him offline so he'd be captured, not destroyed.)
So, Earth. Born of Unicron's 'death'. Hiding place for all the missing Artifacts from the Hall of Records, and helpfully referred to in a classified, coded megafile. Site of a ancient Cybertronian battle, which left a graveyard of bodies. And now, possibly Alpha Trion's hideyhole as well.

Season 2 - Alpha / Omega
In order to counter Optimus Prime's new Star Saber, Megatron obtains the power of the Forge of Solus Prime to forge the Dark Star Saber. . .
You know, for a bit, I was worried we would see a different side of Megatron and the Decepticons other than them being ruthless cockbags for the most part. But no, no, right when we we get to the point where something could tip the scales. . . Megatron shows how much of the stereotypical "evil" he has become.
Off to Cybertron to desecrate a tomb of the Primes, lobs off a arm, and has it attached to himself instead so he could forge the Dark Star Saber out of Dark Energon itself. And it broke the Star Saber.
George Takai was the voice of Alpha Trion. I'm not sure how fitting that is....but it worked.
Also Alpha Trion is a god damn litterbug
Now it's a race to see who claims the other three Omega Keys....hopefully with this we get to see Omega Supreme.

I think you screwed up the Spoilers, DS.
I think Prime's actions say it all, and it the most true to his spirit. He lays aside the StarSword, and immediately goes back to decoding the Database.

Woah... the latest episode has really stepped up the pace. There was an hour's worth of show packed into it, and the fight scene alone is gorgeous ... and once again shows How Far Prime Will Go.
I have wondered, more than once, about his moral compass when it comes to using The Artifacts.

I was so busy with Halloween stuff last night I completely missed out on it....
Time to go to the alternative viewing options!

Poor Dreadwing. . . you died trying to properly avenge your brothers death. Shot through the back with your own cannon.
On another note: Dreadwing could really pull off a "Pre Format" Depthcharge from Beast Wars with his look. I never noticed it before.
Overall a good episode - Optimus really went about using the Forge of Solus Prime pretty quickly, and easier than Megatron apparently did.
Next week - the season finale - "Darkest Hour"

When Starscream said Soundwave had a plan, I was thinking Shockwave.... not a hostage situation. :(

Well...Season 2 Finale was last night.
Transformers Prime Season 2 Episode 26 "Darkest Hour"
With the Kids help hostage, Megatron obtains the Omega Keys from Team Prime. Will the Decepticons win their war at long last?
. . . well....damn. That was a lot of action in 30 mins, even more than we saw last week. I love those new Jet Vehicons, Silver instead of purple and black. Where the hell has Starscream been keeping them?
"Decepticons, Transform and Rise UP!" - gotta love the call back to Transformers Animated, and it sounds very good coming out of Welker's Megatron instead of Corey Burton's (no offense to Corey Burton, the man has a way with voices).
Overall, this season ends on a BIG downer for the Autobots....I can't wait to see Season 3.

Just caught up with the last three episodes.
Minus-One : "SoundWave Superior" indeed! First words he's spoke the whole series, and it's AFTER he erases his drive core of the information the Autobots need. Dude, that's totally hardcore. Once again, fun writing between Megs, Starscream, and Shockwave. Sooner or later Starscream will not be able to find "logical" explanations for his actions.
Persuasion : "I'll do it... but you already knew that, didn't you" A very powerful look at how Megatron was not just a Gladiator, but a very persuasive orator. He is in total control of this episode. However, there were again cute touches, like Rafael in the middle of work "tsking" and complaining "I'm trying to Work Here!" just like Ratchet.
Synthesis : The end of the season is close now. Everyone's got their endgame going, and it's about to be a warzone on the Nemesis. Predaking and Megs duke it out, but do you really think throwing a 'Con out an airlock is going to stop him?

Seriously doubt Predaking is stopped - he will be back, especially since he will be appearing in the "PRedacons Rising" movie coming in October.
The Penultimate Episode was a food one, Megatron's final line to Predaking was also great "You should have heeded my adivce...and faced me AS A BEAST!"

So the Season Ender was good. I approved of it.
For those interested, the Movie "Predacons Rising" is out in the wilds of the Interweb. Go forth and watch it. Or wait.
