Wow, just wow

Of the new gang, there will be an earthbender and a firebender (who in a touching tribute will be named Mako.) The world as you can see looks very 1920ish, I like it.

[spoilers]I also love how Aang has a huge fuck off statue. Dude earned every stone of it![/spoilers]

That trailer not only looked damned good, it looked decidedly AtlA. Same visual style, possibly better visual quality, I'm definitely looking forward to this.

I'm looking forward to this very much. I'm thankful that the original group that did the first series is doing this one, so I can at least have high hopes on this one.

As for the video, YES!!! I LOVE!!!
Did you not the "policemen" were shaping METAL?

I might have, if Viacom hadn't blocked the video on copyright grounds.

BTW: if you look at the pics, they have them Backwards. Start at #102 or whatever the last one is.

Glee! Dudes in fedoras! Dudes in fedoras!

Some other stuff that I've picked up. The main theme is going to be Anti-Bender sentiments that she has to fight against. That has some awesome potential to have gray area morality. Show how tough it is to be the Avatar when there isn't a clear right and wrong.

She already knows Water, Earth, and Fire bending. She is going to be learning Air bending from Aang's son who has a family of his own.

Yes, you did see the police metalbending. Toph went on a worldwide tour of showing off how bad ass she was and taught earth benders how to metal bend. Her daughter is going to be in the show and is one of the police force.

We won't be seeing any of the original cast, they've all died off.

Well it's 70 years post Last Airbender, to have them gone makes sense and avoids any problem of not letting the new cast shine or fail on their own.

I also love how they're expanding on the technological implications of bending. Having the world advance technologically rather than doing what so very many series do and stagnate the tech level.

It only makes sense. During Last Airbender the Fire Nation tech level was pushing at the industrial revolution stage. And if you had a few decades of cross-cultural assistance, the advancements that could come would be huge. Fire Nation tech level and design coupled with Earth Kingdom earth and metal bending, water bending and earth bending for agricultural gains, Fire Nation ship building with Water Tribe knowledge, experience and manipulation. I'm sure there's tons of other things these combinations could do, but those three would be(to me) some of the most important gains. Food, transportation/ease of travel and quality of living conditions.

To be honest I'm frankly surprised that they're making a TV spin-off of that M. Night Shyamalan movie, it didn't even do that well in theaters.

I know, it probably sounded better in my head, but someday I hope to have my own answer to "You know, Worf was my favorite 'Star Wars' guy..."
