Yes. It apparently can be. I recently found out that the succession of scottish kings in the series during the City of Stone and Avalon plot arcs is correct. Not only that, but the manner of death for these kings is largely correct.

Kenneth II, King of Scottland: This is Princess Catherine's uncle and ruler of scottland during the main Castle Wyvern backstory. He is assassinate in 995 by Constantine III (or a surrogate, details are sketchy) who rules until 997.

The plot line picks up in 1034 when the crown passes from the House of Alpin to the House of Dunkeld in the hands of Duncan I who is succeeded in 1040 (after being killed in battle) by Macbeth who rules until 1057, killed fighting Duncan' oldest son. Lulach, the son of Gruoch and Gille Coemgáin (not Macbeth, but he could have been adopted in the series. Macbeth was her second husband) took the crown and ruled for a less than a year before being assassinated by Malcolm III son of Duncan I, who's nickname (posthumous apparently) happened to be Canmore.

Fun. Isnt it?

Greg Weisman was very detail-orientated.

Just read the sadly-short-lived comic series from a few years ago, that was to show how Season 3 would've gone if Disney hadn't canned Weisman (it effectively de-canonizes all the Goliath Chronicle episodes after "The Journey"), which shows us even more, including the tie-in of the historical return of the Stone of Destiny to Scotland. (When the series ended, the storyline was about protecting the Stone, and even had King Arthur and MacBeth coming together to work for it as well as more of the English Gargoyle clan). I love the little things he does.

Like, for instance, we find out more about the Illuminati. It turns out that every Illuminati member has a rank number, which identifies his tier in the organization and how many peers he has. Matt Bluestone, as a new member, is a 36, and now has 35 peers. The FBI guy who inducted him is a 34, and thus would have 33 other members of equal rank.

Go ahead and do the math of 36 + 35 + 34 etc on to 3 + 2 + 1 to get the full number of Illuminati. It's an intriguing result.

Given what I read of one of the proposed spinoff stories? The Illuminati as bad guys wouldn't be a surprise.
