I'm sure we've all heard We didn't start the fire by Billy Joel.

As most of you likely already know, the song covers events from 1949 to 1989.

So I started wondering, if someone were to write a set of new verses covering 1990 to 2009, what would it be?

Dammit Jim I'm a superhero not a songwright!

But I guess among the events it might cover would be the fall of the Berlin wall/reunification of Germany, Desert Storm, the EU and the eventual introduction of the Euro, the ISS, fall of the Soviet Union, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Big Brother, the computer/internet revolution, Clinton and Dubya the Stupider, the War on Terror, the introduction of the CD or at least the DVD, Braveheart, LOTR, the resurgence of superhero movies, the 'computer games make people EVIL' issue, and the MMORPG craze, for starters.
Oh and of course the facts that a) Pierce Brosnan was James Bond until b) the franchise reboot with 'Casina Royale'.
