The Archmage and the Vampires

Note: This is a copy of the log from a ichat site i goto every once in awhile. The character of DarkSteel is my White Wolf based Archmage, Order of Hermes, who has lived over 800 game years. He keeps himself alive by sticking to Horizon Realms and Sanctums and the like. Angelique Valadia is a Toreador Vampire he's acquantinces with for the past couple hundred years, and her husband Pavel is one Steel meet only briefly in the Dark ages. the game world is convulted and has streched on in one form or another for close to 8 years online, so yes, I can't give you all the background on it.

Angelique Valadia {action} rising up from the ground, she gives one last look to the roses, scattered on the ground, letting out a soft sigh, pulling the sable throw closer to her to keep the winds off of her

Pavel_leovidovich {action} smiles, inclining his head, "Of course Angel"

Darksteel {action} steps from the national forest, to the rear of the villa, just within the secutirty fencing, a small application of his Correspodence magic. He looks about, the hood of his travel cloak pulled over his head, before frowning, not bothering to keep his voice quiet, "Rumor? Where in the name of Hades did you run off to you confounded cat?"

Angelique Valadia {action} slipping one small hand out of the throw and onto his arm when she hears a voice

Angelique Valadia {public msg} What the hell?

Darksteel {action} looks about for a moment, knowing that Rumor can't stay hidden, if he wanted to find the beast, but shook his head, letting the cat have his game, as he made his way towards the villa, muttering beneath his breath of accursed felines and people

Pavel_leovidovich {action} perks a brow, head turning to look at angel then back over the garden, "Another one tonite…what are we, Hampton Inn?"

Angelique Valadia {public msg} I know that voice however...

Angelique Valadia {public msg} That is Dark…

Darksteel {public msg} Fine, stay out there you mangy cat, don't come finding me to get burrs out of your fur either

Angelique Valadia {action} chuckling hearing that she calls out from the garden.

Angelique Valadia {public msg} Dark..is that you muttering at a cat?

Pavel_leovidovich {action} perks a brow slightly, "hmmm?"

Darksteel {action} when the yellow eyes appear next to him, he scratches Rumor's head, "Go find that Shifter fellow, he seemed like he wanted to play...I'll let you know when I'm ready to leave" with that, he cocks his head at the sound of the voice, picking up his volumn, adding a touch in irritation to it, "And who in the blasted plains is that? come out and show yourself, don't make me get my walking stick!"

Angelique Valadia {public msg} The grumpy one as he gets older

Angelique Valadia {action} chuckling once more, she laughs fully outright at the walking stick comment

Darksteel {public msg} Confounded woman, if you wouldn't have such a large yard and obstentatious garden

Pavel_leovidovich {action} tilts his head even more, letting his mind think deep and long on the name before perking a brow slightly

Angelique Valadia {public msg} It is a lovely yard and beautiful garden, you are just getting old and can't see as well

Angelique Valadia {action} moving out from the roses into plain view she looks to him and grins

Darksteel {action} the voice is far away when it says that, yet he appears
right behind the two, brushing back the hood as he speaks, "Can't see well indeed, No one told you told you to live in the middle of a jungle"

Angelique Valadia {public msg} Tis not a jungle it is very well maintained, you are just grumpy as usual. Either Kalil found you or you are making a social call, which I don't believe is the case

Darksteel {public msg} Now what is it that you sent that shifter fellow all the way to the middle of nowhere to search out a old man, eh? Some damn fool adventure?

Angelique Valadia {public msg} He did not explain, no?

Darksteel{public msg} And do you have any tea? perhaps a bit of cake?

Darksteel {public msg} No..I'd imagine not....and no, he did not

Pavel_leovidovich {action} chuckles softly, shaking his head, "A long time ago...go and sit Angel....I shall see if I can find some tea....and a cake"

Angelique Valadia {public msg} Let us go into the house, it is warmer there and more comfortable

Darksteel {action} glances ovr at Pavel, judging the man for a moment, "Never seen himbefore in my life. As for comfort, who has time for comfort, come now, i'm not getting any younger"

Angelique Valadia {action} smiling to Pavel as she makes her way to the house, turning to look at Dark to see if this is acceptable with him as well

Darksteel {action} follows after her, muttering about the younger generations, the lack of respect and always with the dilly dallying

Angelique Valadia {action} chuckles used to his mutterings as she makes her way in through the french doors leading into the living room, speaking as she goes

Pavel_leovidovich {action} slips into the house with angel, parting ways as he heads towards the kichen, calling out quietly for one of the maids, not in anyway planning on actually getting his hands dirty with making the tea or finding the cake

Angelique Valadia {action} taking a seat on the chair she was sitting in earlier, she waits until he sits to begin speaking of the matter

Darksteel {action} looks at the chair, muttering still to himself, as he settles into it, nodding at Pavel, "Now, will you tell me what was so blasted important? Just what need does a all powerful vampire woman like yourself need with a feeble old man?"

Angelique Valadia {public msg} Mage, not too powerful got played with by something they call a MIB, and a hitmark

Pavel_leovidovich {action} growls at the maid as he gives the orders, watching her heat the water and make the tea, not sure what type he should have as he doesn't drink the stuff, but having the woman brew a couple kinds, then taking the tray with the tea and the cakes she found before making his way towards the two

Pavel_leovidovich {action} stops beside the two, holding out the tray with the tea and small cakes, feeling almost like a butler

Darksteel {action} mutters, all of it keeping in the act, his voice back to how it was before, a old man, eccentric and electic, not the stable and firm voice that spoke the one word, "Fine fine....what do we have here....mmm...."

Pavel_leovidovich {public msg} I promise the tea and cakes will be suitable for you sir....and not tainted at all.....though I'm sure you'd know if they were before hand

Darksteel {public msg} So yes..anyway..this person, if she's been infected with a virus, take her to a doctor, what am I suppossed to do for her? Does it look like I carry medicine with me?"

Angelique Valadia {action} watches him as he looks to the food and then speaks to her once more

Angelique Valadia {public msg} Do not consider me a fool after all this time of knowing each other. I saw the change for a moment as you said the word I remembed just fine, thank you

Pavel_leovidovich {action} simply holds the tray, an assortment of teas, Green, Earle Grey, others not knowing what the man would like...

Darksteel {action} pours himself a cup of tea, adding a touch of sugar and
some cream, before taking a sip, grimacing for a moment, "You kids, all the same..you think you know what you see, but you really don't...Thank you youngman, your dismissed"

Angelique Valadia {public msg} We have some mage or had some mage performing this technocracy or whatever you all do, and he went around killing many here.

Angelique Valadia {public msg} Don't dismiss my husband, tis not right

Pavel_leovidovich {action} perks a brow slightly at the dismissal, simply smiling before turning to hold out the tray, calling one of the maids to take it away from him

Angelique Valadia {action} leaning back in the chair, crossing a leg over the other, finally removing the sable throw, warm enough now by the fire.

Darksteel {public msg} I'm not the police woman! And Since when did you marry a Butler?

Darksteel {action} eyes Pavel for a moment, the glance shrewd, before sipping his tea again

Angelique Valadia {public msg} He is not a butler he is being kind if offering you hospitality.

Pavel_leovidovich {action} perks a brow, turning back to the man, speaking softly, "Not a butler sir.....but I would not let one of the staff serve such a revered guest as yourself"

Darksteel {action} just grins at Pavel's words, almost jumping out of his seat, "Finally! Someone with some manners around here, you'll go far in the world lad, I assure you that"

Darksteel {action} pats Pavel on the shoulder and drinks the tea
Angelique Valadia {action} throwing her head back she laughs amused by this, before cutting it off with a cough
