May I take the time to point out... wow, that's ugly. It's like a flying brick, but uglier.

On the other hand, form over function... considering I know nothing about its capabilities, I'll shut up.

Its designed to smack the shit out of unshielded ships and help bring down capital ships in conjunction with friendly ships. Its made to carry at heavy anti ship torpedoes and rocket pods. Its ugly like an A-10, or a B-52.

The thing gets bonus points from me because it has wheels (or at least appears to), which is a concept apparently largely unknown to SciFi (offhand, the only SF series I can think of that had wheels on its fighters is SAAB).

It has wheels, which can be retracted up a bit into the landing skids, for use in on planet bases and for moving it around the hangar deck. The skids are for landing on the decks of my carriers.

Apparently most people designing SF vehicles never think of the need for that. Kudos to you.

Thanks. I was watching Battlestar Galactica, and noticed that they moved the fighters around pretty easily, for them only having skids, and I though, might as well give a reason for it to be easy to move around.

Like I said, function over form... which is what I meant to say originally, or else "form follows function".

From its size (and hence, carrying capacity), I think it will serve better as CAS/gunship like Mi-24 Hind or Republic LAAT instead of strategic bomber.

Not a strategic bomber, a tactical bomber. One of the things I forgot to add in is that the wings can be swapped out. The current image shows the wings of the a CAS/Tactical Bomber. The wings can be replaced with wings with few but large hardpoints, for carrying a total of eight large anti-cap ship torpedoes, with high yeild warheads.
