Texas, 1980. Josh Brolin is out hunting and he stumbles across four pick ups and a half dozen dead men from a drug deal gone bad. He finds the money and takes it. Some of the bad guys want their two million dollars back and send a ruthless killer by the name of Anton Shugar to get their money back. He's smart, kills casually, and is utterly ruthless. Tommy Lee Jones is the local sherrif. Complications ensue.
It's really, really good, in part because you know anyone in the story can die, because the tension is constant, and because you know a lot of people are going to die. Excellent acting and writing.
