The premise was pretty good. But it took forever to get down to the root of the problem. The acting was good even the writing was good, even though it was a bit dry, even for Stephen King's standards. The movie starts off fairly strong, with a storm bringing in the mist. Everyone is at the local super market, when someone runs in screaming that there is something in the mist. This sets everyone into a frenzy. People lose all sense of rational thought within 30 minutes of lock down. Right away a woman starts preaching the it is the "End of Days." A tirade that doesn't stop till 20 minutes before the movie ends. I'll spare you the detail but the middle was like this:
There's nothing out there Op someone died....Talk talk talk talk talk talk ........ we need to get out of here. IT"S GODS WILL!!! talk talk . Oh hey there are bugs! Op someones dead....
Talktalktalktalk..... Preach preach.
But the ending was the worst.
If you don't like irony.... this ending will piss you off. It was all I could do to not scream at the screen.[/spoilers]
