I went yesterday... Great stuff! If you haven't seen you must go now! Log off and go!
Back yet? Good.
Batman Begins is basically Batman Year 1. This covers the bare beginnings of Wayne taking up the cowl and cape to strike terror into the criminals of Gothom. From securing the batsuit and batomoble to setting up the batcave and the supply lines. It even covers the beginnings of the batman/Gordon parntership.
I feel it's done very well and this movie had nothing to be ashamed of.
Now I've heard some grief over Holms, frankly I didn't see anything wrong with her performences. Frankly I think some are letting outside issues cloud things. Bale made a great batman and I hope they keep him, he was able to shift from Wayne to Bats with alarming ease. Bats by the way is near psycho in intensity here.
An enjoyable movie all around, I hope they manage to bring the same crew back for another attempt.

I saw it yesterday, over all technically better than the original Burton but it didnt have as many "kick-ass" moments (kick the ninja in the face) also the fight scenes were very rough, realism is fine but I like to see who's who.
In all: Awesome :D

Exellent movie, I loved it.
I liked that they actually gave Batman a suit that had a purpose, besides one that looked "cool". The tank was also much better than the last batmobile, showing a more functional, utilitarian design. Again, his equipment served a purpose, and that was a good improvement.
For the plot, it was good, and well-exectuted. While some have complained about the "microwave" device, I thought it didn't detract from the film.
One thing they also did really well was to portray unbridled fear. Fear was a big theme in Batman Begins, and it worked well. Also, I liked that they had a strong female character, rather than the typical superhero story- type girl.
I saw very little flawed with the film, really, except for one thing: Wayne should have left the theatre from the main interance, not a back alley. That didn't seem right to me. I know he was probably trying to evade publicity, but still. You don't go into dark alleys with your wife and son.
Overall, I give it 4.5 suns out of 5.

I despised Holmes' character and her performance. I felt she brought nothing to the movie except a pretty face, and sometimes not even that (she appeared to be disdainful of Bruce more than once, I never got the impression that they were friends at all, their relationship just didn't work for me; she's fickle as well). By the end, I just got sick of her.
And no, this has nothing to do with her relationship with Tom Cruise or her newfound conversion to Scientology. I don't give a fuck about that. This assessment if you will comes straight from the screen and no other source. I just didn't like her performance or her character.
As for Bale, he rises above all the others quite easily. Best Batman performance ever. Best Batman movie ever, though to be honest, considering the other movies... this isn't saying much.

I get a real kick out of people who mention things like this, claiming they "don't give a fuck", yet bring up it up anyhow in regards to a completely unrelated subject. :P

I didn't mind her character so much and I did buy her as Bruce's childhood friend, but I didn't buy her as a crusading D.A. They should have gotten someone else

Just saw the movie on the biggest screen in the country.
Fuck me dead, that rocked.
