I'm sure most of the Americans on the board have seen the commercial for Beggin' Strips, a dog-treat that supposedly looks and smells enough like cooked bacon to fool dogs.
The commerical's really cute, with a dogs-eye view of a hounddog sniffing around thinking "I Smelll BACON!!! Where? Where is the Bacon?! There! In that Bag! WHat's it Say?! I CAN'T READ!!! Please Please give me what's in the bag! It's BACON!!!!!"
Well... my sis-in-law's sis-in-law told Nitram and I a story today about a couple of drunken friends of hers who were hungry and wanted a BLT (bacon, lettuce tomato) sandwich late one night. They looked in her fridge and saw a ziplocked bag of what looked like crispy bacon and used it for their sandwiches.
Do I have to explain the joke, folks? Say the punchline of the Beggin' Strips commercial with me: "Dogs can't tell the difference"... and neither can drunks.
It's BACON!!!
