Because I assumed that wands were just wands, you buy it and use it. I didn't know that there were different lvls or anything like that. I've never used wands in a campaign before.

Man, that's perfect that the Paladin's getting the gauntlets.

One more major encounter, and a little bit of exploring - then all of you get XP, and you get to go back to Impetrus for your reward.

One fighter-ish type holding a bow, who seems all excited and proud of himself; one cleric, who holds no obvious weapons and is talking calmly and supportively to the fighter-type, a wizard-looking fellow with a huge hat and wearing somewhat disheveled robes that...stink of something undefinable, and a monk sitting cross-legged, motionless, apparently meditating.
