Since the general trend seems to be heading back to Lookshy, should I start making with setting up the Trade Caravan coming into town and setting up shop?

Nope, I'll write your coming back (or arrival) in Lookshy. Just gimme some time to find inspiration (if your caravan has specific elements or a peculiar atmosphere, tell me so that I can include it).

Atmosphere:

1. Revelry is a primary aspect. As merchants that carry a fair amount of booze, and they often try to drum up business for the local taverns as part of the process. This is fairly standard procedure, as it's good for business to promote revelry in general.

2. Hiding in plain sight. The entire caravan knows that their leader is an Anathema, and all of them are aware that undue attention would be bad, but attempting avoid attention could be even worse.

3. Other cargo includes spices, clothing, etc. Use of the Insightful Buyer Technique allows Liayna to quickly get a sense of what is needed in a given area, so she tends to stock whatever will sell well by keeping lists of what was needed the last time she was there.

Anything else you could need to help? I'm doing a rough breakdown of the standard caravan crew in my free time.

Marcao alerted me that I overpaid by 2 points to increase Kolth's Stealth from 3 to 4, thus leaving him with 2 experience points free. I'll annotate my character sheet accordingly.

Kolth's selling the gently-used town of Lookshy for the bargain basement price of one million jade. If you act now, he'll even throw in a fully-staffed brothel and intoxicant emporium!

It's Stamina+Resistance. My second guess was that it was somehow related to staying power, which upon closer examination is correct. It's how long each character can go at a strenuous physical activity before needing to check for getting tired.

I finally read Violet Bier of Sorrows two days ago, and became nauseated.

I want.

Don't worry Nomad - I won't even ask if Kolth can get his hands on it (what's that you say? "Hell no?") until he completes two martial arts trees.

For the moment, I'm assuming Liayna is with another customer, and one of her employees is out front as a barker, trying to lure shoppers inside the ring of wagons to see the wares.

I'm letting Hotfoot and you handle the matter  I'll just drop in a carefully chosen vision or two.

The Unexpected Hidden Connection Revealed!
[14:53] HotfootB5: Basically, two primordials joined up with the gods, Gaia and Autocthon

[14:53] magithis: Gaia=earth basically? And who is Autocthon? Sounds like a Cybertronian elder god wanna be.

[14:55] HotfootB5: Gaia = Earth, Autocthon is a Haephestus analog, with cybernetics and so forth at his/her beck and call. Autocthon is who created the exalted in the first place

[14:55] magithis: I see... So he's a god with alot of machines in his employ... Still feeling cybertron here.

[14:56] magithis: Does he like the color purple or red?

[14:56] HotfootB5: Haha, don't know

[14:56] HotfootB5: They can transform though

[14:57] magithis: That's okay at first the Cybertronains couldn't either.

[14:57] HotfootB5: No, they can

[14:57] magithis: Oh, sorry misread. So he has transforming machines under his control?

[14:58] HotfootB5: Yes

[14:58] HotfootB5: On another world outside of creation

[14:58] magithis: You don't say huh? A... Metal world perchance?

[14:58] HotfootB5: Why...yes.

[14:58] HotfootB5: There may even be a bridge between that world and the primary one

[14:59] magithis: 10$ says that his real name is Primus.

[14:59] HotfootB5: because sometimes the Alchemical Exalted come through

[14:59] HotfootB5: lol

[14:59] magithis: A spacebridge may we call it?

[14:59] HotfootB5: We may indeed

#572 Compassion 2 thoughts from the White Wolf Forums (Exalted)

Post by Marcao »

I have a Compassion of 2.

I love my friends dearly. Anything to help them out. And the people who make them happy count too.

Anyone in the 3rd degree of acquaintanceship or beyond is a non-human. They can all fuck the hell off. I almost wish I produced kidney stones, so I could collect them, stuff them into someone's mouth, and punch them in the jaw so they'd chip a tooth on urine-and-blood soaked rocks.

I don't think Compassion 2 means shit if Conviction out-ranks it. You can love your folks dearly, but have a strong conviction that everyone else is feces that deserves to be flushed. Or burnt.

Just a side note: consider you have around 25 days of effective training to spend XP until the next assignment.

More important: no increasing Essence until my greenlight.

XP spends at last!

Loyal Soldier's Blade(Combo): 5 XP
1st Melee Excellency + Heavenly Guardian Defense.

Very, very basic combo for defending and hitting at once.

Call The Blade, Iron Raptor Strike, Blazing Solar Bolt. 24 XP.

1 XP left over and banked.

Yes, I now have the mirror technique of that 'BAM, you're hit' strike I got nailed with.
Half-Damned, All Hero.

Tev: You're happy. You're Plotting. You're Evil.
Me: Evil is so inappropriate. I'm ruthless.
Tev: You're turning me on.

I Am Rage. You Will Know My Fury.

BSB pales before ELP, IMHO. I'm wondering if it would not be fair to houserule BSB into a true perfect attack...
