[Exalted] Protectors of the River Province OOC

Well, if combos are needed, we need to earn XP. Since the wagon scene seems to be winding down, perhaps we should engage in non-combative ventures for a bit? Any ideas?

Well, with Nomad's permission, we could do worse than some do-gooding missions around Lookshy. It would help solidify a good reputation among the PC's (particular the newer arrivals) with those in power of this city, and would also help us get our feet wet with other aspects of this universe as well.

Moreover, it would establish a better relationship with all PC's and those in power, which would be of immense help later on regardless.

Well, now that exams are over and I have had some time to think, I have come to some considerations about Ake. Ake is a man with his heart in the right place, but he has inherited some massive impulse control problems. He always wants to be the Big Damn Hero for everyone, even if other people's vision of a hero is so over the top he cannot live up to it. The fact that he is already over the top as an Exalted just makes the expectations of others increasingly impossible as he actually meets the unspoken goals they set. He is the sort of man who would make a swimming pool of beer or sleep with and impregnate fifty princesses simply because he heard a rumour that he had done such a thing.

Ake is a little different and more repentant than his previous life, but he still has that within him.

Also, I want to see if I can turn him into the Pimp-King of Lookshy as an intermediate step to getting an army. Having an army quite literally by the balls would be quite useful to his long term goals. He doesn't exactly think it'll go very far, but hey, if he discovers a cruel pimp slapping around one of his girls, he does have Compassion 3 and Valour 4. Likely to get him in trouble there.

I have a feeling this will be hilarious and/or embarassing, but either way amusing.

Rest assured that at no point will my posts go beyond anything suggestive. I have little interest in actually writing sex scenes, I always fade to black beforehand.

Suffice to say though, you are running a game in the East, and the common prevailing sentiment in the East with regards to relationships is often "As many as possible".

Don't worry though, for the sake of everyone's sanity, I will bring any such scenes to a "fade to black" moment, and pick up later.

I can agree with the Fade to Black sentiment.

But you did all let us generate characters with Temperance of 1 or 2 and both females have promiscuous histories. That's asking for trouble.

Expect to see them soon. It changes my plans for the campaign somewhat, but it's an awesome book, after only a cursory glance.

I've heard nothing but good stuff, a nice change from the drab Yu-Shan book and under-par Scroll Of Kings. Even the stuff that's just a polished and updated set of the Mountain Folk's 1e stuff is apparently good.

Now if I only had the money to get a copy.

rhoenix: the highest point in Lookshy would technically be either the Lookshy Manse or the Aviary. Neither is likely to sport a bell, and neither is a safe place to stroll on - even for a Night caste.

I'm still letting Marcao a couple of days to wrap up the scene, after which I'm making the fade-to-black for him (and what happens, or doesn't happen, will or will not happen

).

Due to excellent roleplay, all characters receive 10 XP for this scene.

And lo! Santa Claus left 5 more XP near the Christmas tree!

We'll determine the time available for training after the scene is over.

Oh! I forgot to mention. Have we been told what our "reward" is for coming back in one piece and more or less achieving our objective? I only ask cuz daddy needs a new pair of well, everything. Except clothes, it looks like as long as Liayna is interested she is going to take care of that angle. :P

I'm curious as well - granted, we are awesome, but we did pull off a very difficult mission for Lookshy. And Kolth made sure to bring back evidence for exactly these circumstances...so how rich are we?
