Well, in that case...

Also, a minor point. A friend of mine decided to spend his character's hard-earned gold on evolving his Dragonlord armor instead of getting the Big Nasty Axe of DOOOOM. At first, I was tempted to make fun of him for it, but it does kinda look cool. And he does seem to crit a lot more. Hmm...

If you want lots of gold, go hit the Lymcrest Labrynth. They've got 3 levels open now... first is Elementals, second is Bugs, third is Wyverns and Biters.

For the Elementals, a nice Energy weapon works well. Same for the Bugs, although Fire works nicely too. Wyverns are weak to Stone, Biters weak to Wind. Watch the walls in the third level -- some of them are false and you can walk thru them to avoid fights.

I uh...coughed up the $20 to register an AdventureQuest account, just to properly activate the Guardian class in DragonFable.

If you want my advice - don't bother. Most of his useful skills have a "yeah, but..." attached to them.

For instance, yes, a Guardian gets the Redshift skill, which lowers all cooldown times by 3. However, unlike with the Ranger's version, it is not an attack at all, and it costs a whopping 50mp to use.
The Guardian's amazing 12-hit strike looks awesome on paper - but it's of a random element each time (including non-elemental and metal), no matter what weapon you have equipped.
It's a MP-heavy class, and only about as powerful as the Ranger. The Ranger has more useful attacks overall (since most of his attacks use the element of the currently equipped weapon) - you'll miss the lack of healing skills more on the Guardian than you would with the Ranger, simply due to the Ranger being a better class overall.

So yeah, I'm sticking with Ranger for now.

I still haven't gotten the Pirate armor yet, just due to lack of interest. However, since I can't play much during the week now, I'm just feeding my baby dragon over the week before I leave for work, and actually playing (well, leveling( on weekends.

I've not only maxed out the Pirate, but I have the Dread Pirate class as well.

I have the Dread Pirate too, I've discovered upon getting the Armor Closet for the house, but its completely untrained. Do you know how to train it, or is it far too late for that?

For both then - good.

By the way, I've only seen that the Armor Closet and the Magic Mirror are useful house decorations that do something useful. Are there any others you know of?

The Moglin are having Frostval!!

Its a grand winter holiday, and those who missed the last two can play catchup this week and next
Nice little adventure, and it has me leveling up nicely getting the stuff I need.

However, there is this year's gift, the MOGLIN ARMOR.
It's adorably cute, and horribly deadly to the enemies. I've not powered it up fully just yet, but the Final Power is supposed to be "Maximal Pwnage!"

However, I do want to talk about the Blind power.
As always, when you run the arrow over the attacks available, you get a little quote. For the Blind power, the quote is "You'll shot your eye out Kid!"

Activate the power, and your character pulls out a RedRyder BB Gun and shoots the enemy

I had to explain that one to Nitram

The best part about the Moglin armor? It's now in my Armor Closet.

So I'm using it in the new WAR: Elemental Storm!

Two things Nitram and I have discovered.
1. When fighting the Titans, always fight the ones with weaknesses to your Breath Weapon. Otherwise they fuck you over.
2. Each Titan fight is worth 10 waves. Each "Bombing Run" is worth 20 waves. If you're Titan Fighting or Bombing, you're killing more of the Elementals than just fighting single waves.

Also, Valencia has a new quest: Find the Origins of the Element: BACON.

Yes, Bacon. Don't ask me, I just play the game. Either way, it's got Wind and Stone elementals protecting the way.

Thanks for the reminder - I honestly haven't played in a few months now - I completely missed the whole Christmas & New Year's things. I shall have to change that.

YOU MISSED FROSTVAL!?!?!?!

HolyShit, rheonix, you just missed one of the best Storylines as well as some of the best Armor in the game thus far! Not to mention the DragonHead Sword, which is a bitch to get, but once you do it has a 5% chance to heal you upon -any- strike. Upgrading the fucker is even worse, as an Ice Dragon Head is a rare-drop.

But you'd better have a weapon of each element to deal with these things. And if you -do- try the Titan Fights, use either Fire or Ice. Why? Fire does extra damage to both Water and Ice elemental Titans, while Ice damages Fire and Energy. So, to get more variety out of fights (and to build up the # of waves killed) I set my dragon to Ice and spam the Titan Battle. Nit does the same, with Fire.

If you want to build up Defender's Medals, do the normal battle against the waves. Again, have a number of different elemental weapons so you'll have the right tool for the job. Set your dragon for either Light or Darkness elements, that way s/he won't be healing any elemental you're fighting.

There's also new rewards: Trinkets. These can be equipped to give you a +1 or +2 bonus to various stats, including Crit bonus. Only one Trinket at a time, as usual. I'm not sure why they're giving out Elemental Essences, since if you've done the Nytheria chain to get to this point, you'll know about Warlic's little problem. I'm just going to stash those in the safe for now.

Okay. Since I found out the Dragonlord server is not in fact blocked at work (though the regular one is), I've been playing again.

I've now caught up to the present Mogloween 2009, having finished getting the Pumpkinlord and Advanced Pumpkinlord armors, with the present stuff for Mogloween 2009 yet to go. Both of them suck though - the Technomancer is much better.

My character is now lvl36, and my baby dragon finally hit 100/200 for his Fighting skill.

Once Frostval hits here in a month or two, I'll get the Frost Moglin armor finally, along with the other nifty stuff.

Also - is there a point to carrying around Nature weapons at all? Nothing in the game is weak against Nature.

Nature weapons are iffy. I don't use them at all outside the Pumpkin Armor.
