Just got CoTD 4: The South and Graceful Wicked Masques. I don't have the time to read them in detail, but expect to see some Fair Folk soon. They're a kind of 'tagonist which I've seldom used before, but now things could get interesting.

I just got The Wyld celestial directions book myself for my game. Man, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I got my hands on the compass of terrestrial directions volume 4 - The South and the Graceful Wicked Masques books myself. Sadly, I have not really been able to take a good look at them. Certainly seem like they are chock full of goodies though.

Marcao: technically, I don't envision it as being close to the Hundred Kindgoms, it's between Lookshy and Nexus, somewhat to the south ( still north of Celeren).

Nitram: if you want to requisition or convert equipment with your dots of Arsenal, provide me with a list before departure. Anything too flashy is not likely to be approved though. Vehicles are off-limits, and no, you can't take the Soulbreaker Orb with you.

Well there goes the easy solution. ;)

I'll work something up.

I'm going to make at least a small interlude before reaching destination.

And I want Nitram's list of artifacts before that

Note that if you want to free the space taken by Gunzosha armor, you can obtain superior quality non-artefact armor, with a few to be determined thaumaturgical enhancements (notably against demons, such as increased DV against demonic mind attacks, or increased soak against demons) for 1 point of Artifact.

The Daiklaive plus apparently simply beefed up normal armour has a huge advantage over going with the Gunzosha for this. I don't have to run around without armor and pray the other guy will give me time to pop up Lightning-Hauberk.

Speaking of which, I need to use that to don a Warstrider.

Rereading the Arsenal Background, I amend my previous ruling: you can buy the thaumaturgical armour with your Resources dots (even though IMHO most similarily warded armor would exceed your background cap) as long as it does not exceed medium, combining your Connections with the Stores Directorate and Arsenal.

EDIT: make a nice convenient list with page reference please, I'm getting lazy

Here's my proposed armor :

Demon-Slaying Mantle: this expensive suit of fine reinforced buff jacket contains elaborate thaumaturgic warding mandalas against demonic Essence, the best that can be made without incorporating a measure of magical material or similar special component, giving the wearer a +1 MDV against demonic influence, an additional die to resist poisons or other effects of demonic origin, and a +1L/1B against the physical blows of demons.
+6L/9B, mobility -2, fatigue 2.

Yea, I'm not planning above medium. I don't have the Gunzosha 'Run really fast' augmentics. I'll get back with the full list.

Don't tell me you're going to have Orduin become the Six Million Dinar Man by hacking him apart and giving him Prosthetics of Clockwork Elegance

You can also equip your other companions with an amount of superior mundane equipment not exceeding Resource 3 apiece, and not exceeding 36 dots total (which are expended, and not renewed automatically).

EDIT: don't forget my other edit above :p

No. The most cyber-artifacts I'll add, eventually, is Arms Of Multiple Manipulation, as they are great crafting trinkets. And wielding lots of swords at once is awesome. Maybe a Skin-Mount Amulet, but probably not. The only time I've used prosthetics is when another character, shamelessly using this name, lost a hand to an Abyssal. Lack Crippling-negating or fixing, he creating an Adamant hand.

I'm still here, and I'm cool with the gear I have now, although a quick question on how much XP do you have me down as having earned, Nomad?

5 XP for coming in at the end of the Abyssal's fight, plus 15 XP for the social interaction scene, makes 20 XP total.

Gunzosha Armor(3 dots) swapped for the anti-demon buff jacket, and a set of silk armor for Tev. I'm gonna hold off on pimping the team with resource dots until I work out some way to renew those.

As long as 'From Scratch' isn't 'Go fight the Abyssal again'.

Should those of us other than Academia worry about xpz?

Okay, so here's a summary of the XP expenditure pending approval.

3 for rank 1 integrity, 1 for rank 2 integrity = 4
Pick up the Fury Inspiring Presence Charm = 8
Increase melee from 4 to 5 = 7

Total expenditure = 19 / 20

Is that acceptable?

With my exams coming and work being very tedious, I fear I won't be able to write the story's next chapter until three weeks, perhaps a month. I don't intend to let the game die, but I'll have to wait for things to cool down a bit IRL before I can do anything but a half-assed uninspired scenario. I hope you will be there when I'm back, and sorry for keeping you waiting.

Would you mind dropping us some sort of RP cookie to go on until then for possible XP, or do you want us to just wing it until then?

I ask in such a way because I personally am...trying to be patient to continue, and I think a few others feel the same way. We enjoy this game, this setting, and our characters in both, after all - we want to keep playing.
