He is bound from harming the prince or any of the kings' kin. He can use an intermediary, but that would be politically problematic. He will need to strike the prince's friends, through hirelings, in all likelyhood. Either that or place them in positions where they can "die gloriously"

Indeed.

But there are many options for him to make the prince pay using the Laws of the Land. Which would humiliate the prince just as badly, having to pay him for the damage done. The Prince's friends will be the ones in real trouble. Nalifan's well trained, and no one will ever be able to prove their deaths were his fault.

It does piss me off that the clerics here aren't talented enough to heal her without scars. I wonder if that is their lack, or their prejudices against Whores.

Yeah, they're real afraid of the Law and there will be no repercussions if Nalifan kills the sons of high ranking nobles.

The whole issue of healing with or without scars isn't something that's addressed in most healing spells.

I'm glad you're continuing this. I'm just wondering what you'll do when it's time to 'start game'. Personally, I'd like to see an Alt-history, since ours was so fucked up.

And damn, the Carnivora survived. But still, 10 days was a good chunk of time for Nalifan to work within.

Nalifan is at heart very practical. He's bound, so he can't get his own revenge. When time comes those bonds loosen a little, THEN there will be massive reprisals.

Nasty trick, making the Mother weep blood. Very nice pious act, that will somehow be blamed on Nal or on the Princess' "unseemly" love for her maid.

Besides... how many of the Lords and Priests actually KNOW the law, hmm? After all, if they've 'always done it that way', they may have never needed to read the law, and therefore may have forgotten a nasty little trick within.
