My thanks for everyone's patience.
I can't speak for my getting re-involved with the other games yet, but I can get back into this one.

It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

It is. It is also much busier as a consequence, but this is not without its benefits.Cynical Cat wrote:Cool. Glad to have you back. I hope your life is sucking less.

Ok. I'm going to be starting Chapter 2 today, and have you guys on the road. DS is moving Chapter 1 to the Library archives for us as well, so if you wanna read over it, it'll be there.
Now, for the Important Part:
Charon : 2 XP. 3 Wisdom. 1 Honor. 5 Glory.
Cyncat: 3 Xp. 3 Wisdom. 2 Honor. 7 Glory.
Devonie: 3 Xp. 3 Wisdom. 2 Honor. 6 Glory.
Havoc: 4 Xp (Rp Bonus) 2 Wisdom. 2 Honor. 5 Glory.
Rheonix: 4 Xp (Rp Bonus). 3 Wisdom. 2 Honor. 4 Glory.
If you have enough Temporary Renown to equal 10, you may mark down 1 Permanent Renown increase. I'll look up the XP table again so if you want to spend some you can.

Ok folks, new thread, start posting. You've been riding 3 hours to get here, and you're almost there.
Sophie: Your base target for general information about Smoky Mountain Futures is ... *thinks of the fetish she has* a 4. Don't botch
For deeper information, it goes up to a 6.
For the down and dirty, you'll need 8s.
All of these are Separate Rolls, btw. You can't roll just once and get it all.
Anyone spending XP, tell me now.

I'll spend all eight XP that I have to add one point to Alertness, one to Dodge, and one to Firearms.
Something tells me that these skills will be seeing some work.

All right, rolling for computer hacking capacities, one after the next. All rolls are Computers (5) + Intelligence (4).
General Info:
In-depth Info:
"Down and Dirty":
Edit: All right, so it would appear that we have 6-1=5 successes for the General info, 4-0=4 successes for the Deep info, and 3-1=2 successes for the "Dirty" stuff.
Edit 2: It would also appear that it marks things as "fixed" whenever I edit the post.
Edit 3: Also, I recall something about if you have a lot of points in a skill, you get to pick a concentration in it, and that mine was hacking in Computers. I do not however recall what those concentrations do. Please advise.

*Shakes head* Remind me next time to make sure I have enough Info before I have you roll.General Havoc wrote:Edit: All right, so it would appear that we have 6-1=5 successes for the General info, 4-0=4 successes for the Deep info, and 3-1=2 successes for the "Dirty" stuff.
You have dug up the following:
General Info:
1. The address and phone number of Smoky Mountain Futures, which is a downtown address. That part of town is a "revitalized zone", which means the older, 'historic' buildings were renovated into modern offices. (Werewolf Knowledge: This will give the building a solid Umbral presence because of its age).
2. Aaron Sterling is the owner/operator, and Smoky Mountain Futures has been in business roughly five years. Only in the last two has the business (and owner) started making news.
3. Smoky Mountain Futures is primarily interested in purchasing property in and around Knoxville for "revitalization" and "modernizing" the city.
4. In some news articles, a Megan Alexander is often quoted speaking out against too much modernization. She is voicing the opinions of several historical and cultural groups within the city and surrounding area, and seems to be a lobbyist for them. She and Aaron do not see eye to eye.
5. Aaron Sterling is not a native, but a New Jersey transplant. A video interview from a local TV station clearly demonstrates the "Jersey accent", complete with rapid-fire delivery that was totally at odds with the laid back county drawl of the newsman. Sterling does talk a good game, though.
Deep Info:
1. With a little digging, a newspaper clipping of Aaron Sterling's 'Future Knoxville' can be found. To Sophie, it looks rather like New York or Chicago, ultra-modern in a shiny, glassy way. Compared to the companion "Knoxville Now" picture, the main things missing are some of the older buildings, 'village squares', and local parks. In fact, a lot of the greenery is missing in "New Knoxville". (BTW: This is not the GlassWalker ideal)
2. Smoky Mountain Futures is interested in several properties that Megan Alexander and her clients deem to be Historical or Culturally Significant. Some of them are old Indian lands or possible burial sites.
The Dark:
1. It's hidden, but there are signs that some of the Knoxville City Council are starting to support Aaron Sterling's ideals.

If you decide to go, it won't take long, probably about 30min. Just have the driver post getting there.
Any plans before you get there, or do you just want to skip ahead, boys and girls?

Ok folks... Oak Ridge Natl. Lab, aka Oak Ridge Nuclear Lab. This is freely available on the web, so it's a gimme to Sophie.
The meeting place is on the Eastern Edge of the property. The number of buildings and lights, even at this hour, is going to make it ... Interesting ... with Adahy around. What the Patchwork Quilt wants you do to is unknown at this point, but the hint is it's a Test.
Start Plotting.
(BTW: on GoogleMaps the roads have been deliberately misnamed, I think. Bethel Valley and Bear Creek Rd have switched names.
Or, the author of the SourceBook was an idjit... as Cyncat thinks)
