Is it too late to recommend point buy for the build system of the year?

It's good, but I actually prefer rolling the dice- it opens better opportunities for character creation, forcing you to experiment and do things you'd normally never do (like, for example, my DH cleric character). My ideal system, I think, would be where you roll the dice, but are allowed to switch a couple of the results around to make for a more consistent, but still randomly generated, character.
