I have the opposite problem, in that there are only 3 locations where my forces can be placed, 4 if I subdivide Madagascar itself between the city and the rest of the island. Plus most of my assets can easily redeploy between Madagascar, the Seychelles and Mauritius as needed.

Quit while I'm ahead? What's that supposed to mean? That I can't fight it because you have and lost, or that I don't have it as bad as you? I do hope it's the former, because if it's the latter I have to point out that even with some provinces the size of CONUS' Eastern Seaboard I still have over 90 provincial subdivisions.Hotfoot wrote:Hadri, you should really quit while you're ahead. I've been fighting a per-state breakdown because even with a per-state breakdown I have over thirty fucking provinces and I really had no desire to break things down that minutely.
Well, at least I'm sure all the other players are happy that having territory stretching across 1/6 of the world's landmass didn't quite come free.
Actually, I was thinking of doing that, it looks like less work. I already have the military districts drawn up. I'll probably increase their number and then list what population centre each unit is close to. It's also going to be more specific than saying "Krasnoyarsk province".General Havoc wrote:I went through the trouble to post my deployments down to the city, but I don't expect everyone is going to want to do that.

It means that I've tried to fight this and lost, and just because I haven't switched to this system yet doesn't mean I'm somehow exempt. Frigid made the ruling, admitted he himself isn't in compliance yet, and gave us time to get our shit in order. Singling me out for no damn good reason doesn't help you or your case. Personally I like my system and I'd rather keep using it, but the ruling has been made so I will adjust. Obviously I'm not going to keep discrete numbers on every state, Rhode Island can go fuck itself, but on battle lines you can bet I will cover my ass appropriately.Hadrianvs wrote:Quit while I'm ahead? That said, Frigid, what would you like on the realm of Naval Deployments? For now I've been using general coastal areas to represent where the fleets are deployed, though obviously soon I will be sending you specific areas of interest. For general use though, what is desired for naval fleets?

The sea they're operating in and their major home port. Air assets operate the same as ground ones. That said, Frigid, what would you like on the realm of Naval Deployments? Let me point out you don't need troops in every province.

So wait, is something bad happening to me or not? I'm afraid I'm missing something here.
Also, complete and total orbat posted. We may want to start a thread solely for orders of battle so we can find them easier and not clutter up other threads.

An event happens on a six. It may be good, it may be bad. Frigid didn't roll a six for you.Slacker wrote:So wait, is something bad happening to me or not? I'm afraid I'm missing something here.

I'm 90% certain my computer just died, as in motherboard died. So I will not be on AIM nearly as much until I get a new computer. I still have access to a computer so I will be online to check stuff, etc.

Cleric, you have a formation called the "Gibraltar Army", which confuses me, as I am the one who owns Gibraltar. Is this your army in Morocco?

He controls one side by the map. Alternatively he is a few KM from it.

Yeah, I'll rename it. Might just call it "North African" and be done with it.

Speaking of Gibraltar, I was wondering how much of it you have exactly. It's kind of hard to tell by the map because with Gibraltar it's pretty common for maps to grossly exagerate its size. The British holding is just just a rock covering less than seven square kilometres, and it is neither on the southernmost part of Iberia, nor across from the narrowest part of the strait. (Gibraltar is important because of the view from atop the Pillar)General Havoc wrote:Cleric, you have a formation called the "Gibraltar Army", which confuses me, as I am the one who owns Gibraltar. Is this your army in Morocco?
If you don't know, then looking at the terrain and the forces you have deployed in the area (two divisions), I would suggest anchoring your west flank on the Sierria de Retin and Sierra Momia, and your east flank on Sierra Bermaja. That would make the border approximately 60km long and give you control of the high ground on all the approaches to Gibraltar and Tarifa. Going by town names, you want Barbante, Banalup-Casas Viejas, Jimena de la Frontera, Casares, and Estepona to be on your side of the border.
But there are other much nicer names! Like "Tangiers" and "Rif".The Cleric wrote:Might just call it "North African" and be done with it.

Which is why a calendar would be so much more helpful than "sometime in the near future which may or may not change depending on how busy/lazy people get."

Or y'all could pay attention has I repeatably announce these things.Which is why a calendar would be so much more helpful than "sometime in the near future which may or may not change depending on how busy/lazy people get."
Does anyone else need a calandar? Because I'm not going through that extra work (when frankly in my view y'all should be able to keep track of these things yourselves) over one guy. If more of you need it then fine. But at that point expect no mercy, if you're late, you didn't build anything and sucks to be you.
