I'm playing the beta now and having a blast. Is anyone planning on getting this game, because making a fleet would be awesome.

I'm currently playing the Beta.......when they let me log in that is.

Kinda fun, though I'm still only level 3 or so...still have my modified miranda class. I'm much preferring the shipboard combat to the ground missions right now.

Ground combat would be so much better with the simple addition of CoH-style single-command queuing. Ah well.

@whitehaven here, moping around at the open beta level cap and waiting for them to bump it up.

Remind me tonight, Hotfoot, that was a fun set of missions, I'll be happy to run 'em again.

Righto.

I also need to get some better gear if I'm going to handle these guys I think. Those D7s are tearing me apart.

Okay, so the game's been out for a while, and my main, Jenzri Kam, is a Rear Admiral fending off the Borg.

Meanwhile, a motley band of fresh officers, recently promoted to Lt. Commander, are plying their way through the great void. The Brazen (GenHavoc), the Nike (myself), and the Yawning Angel (Marcao) represent the Federation with pride. Who will join us, protecting the Federation borders from the Gorn, Orions, Klingons, Romulans, Remans, Dominion, and even the Borg?

Why, you might even get to meet a little "you know Q"

So i resurrect this thread...

Apparently STO updates with mega patches called Seasons, which add new stuff. So how is STO now after Season 1? I also hear season 2 comes out later this month.

Months later, is the game any good or is it as the reviews claim it to be - i.e. shallow and basic? Is there room for improvement? Is there good replay value, or once you run through the Federation questline is it all over? What do you actually do?
