#1 So I've been rewatching TOS...

Post by Stofsk »

and my quest to rewatch it is nearing its end

i've gone through every disc in my DVD collection, and i'm now up to 'Turnabout Intruder' and after it, 'The Cage'

the only episode i skipped was the one with the space hippies, i'm sorry i could not finish it

the blond hippy guy started singing and i was like 'not today motherfucker'

on the whole though the show's remarkably solid all the way through, the quality does go down a bit in the third season but i think people exaggerate that, there's a lot of good episodes in season three and other than 'The Way to Eden' there aren't many which are outright bad or offensively awful, unlike season two's 'Patterns of Force' and 'The Omega Glory'

having seen the quality that is in the remastered blu-rays, i'm going to take the plunge and get that when i can afford to - my dvds are good but the imperfections are very noticeable

I'm doing a little TOS rewatching too. For people in the US (and maybe elsewhere, idk), CBS has the whole series up on YouTube.

more thoughts later, it's late and I'm tired.

I'm still a big fan of the Omega Glory. Brings a tiny tear to my eye.
