#1 Siege of Glengary Pictures (thumbnails)

Post by LadyTevar »

This is the event we went to after Nitram didn't get his liver. Melee battles, siege weapon, and equestrian fun. I'll see if I can upload what little video I got of the jousters in the course.

Martin looks well if painfully skinny. I like the pictures of the siege machines.

I really need to work on that trebuchet again and get it working.

So I can go to things like this and go "That's not a trebuchet... This is a trebuchet!"

Though I imagine his is a lot easier to move around.

All in all very pretty pictures though.

I completely agree. Everyone should have a trebuchet.

Actually, he told me what it was, I just can't remember the proper name of it. It's totally man-powered: one man can stand there holding the upright, while another loads the ammo in the sling. Then a man in front yanks the tow-rope to sling the arm.

However, they built the cart for safety reasons and firmly attached the upright to it. The cart also helps carry the ammo.
