He nodded. "It is myself plus one, sir." He moves towards the door and pauses. "Will that cause a problem?"

The man looks at Rose. "Not at all." The door opens and they two burly men in suits great them.

"Come this way," One of them says and a petite woman offers to take their hats and coats. The burly men lead them down the corridor into a large room which contains more than a dozen Kindred. Most of them seem to be talking in the center of the room. The others are observing or holding their own conversation.

Rosemary looks to Holden to see if it is appropriate to remove the towel or jacket.

Carlson turned towards Marcus and gave the other vampire an appraising look. "He's the Tremere Regent. Estrigarian is his name, I believe. Not a primogen, but not someone to take lightly." The dark haired vampire sucks in a lungful of cigarrette smoke. "Too bad you can't tell me anything useful about him. I would be willing to pay for that."

He nods and gestures for her to hand over her extras. "We will not be needing them here, miss." And he follows the guards, hands clasped behind his back. He lets the sights and sounds and scents assault him; it's been a short while since he's been in court, let's hope he is not too rusty with his greetings.

"Miss, we will be neck deep soon, let's hope the events of late don't tarnish our presence."

Rosemary very carefully hands over the towel, which once removed like gauze is rather bloodied on the inside. She also removes her coat, and limps along, her leg dragging behind her.

The transformation is about half way completed. Her back has all the vertebrae popped out, to form a ridge like effect. Her hair is completely gone, and replaced with sagging and yellowed skin which also seems to cover the rest of her. Her leg which drags behind her seems incredibly heavy and dead. Her nose is completely missing, having rotted itself away. Her hands are completely talons at this point. And her mouth is full of razor sharp teeth that fall over her twisted lips even when closed. She observes the other vampires in this room with impassive glance.

One of the vampires, a tall dark haired man wearing black, raises his hand and the conversation stops. His face is regal, but too gaunt to be truly attractive. He makes a "come hither" gesture. "Who do we have here?" he asks.

Marcus looked back at the Regent and nodded. He ignored the sychophant's speech after that. As if I have any interest in doing your dirty work, was all he thought. "Well I don't have information on him. But from what I've heard a lot of that recent breach was due to the fault of Cargo. I've been around Wright's place recently and he seems like the kind of guy that keeps the masquerade damn well and if his home hadn't been firebombed by what I've heard recently were Cargo's lackeys, then he himself was attacked by those same lackey's of Cargo, this shit wouldn't have gone down. Of course, I don't know why Wright didn't get his head together and take care of the problem. How many bodies were found?" Marcus stopped as the hand went up. He looked around to see that Texan and some uglie. It looked worse than the one he'd seen. Really really bad.

Holden slides before the man as requested and bows deeply. "Sir, Holden Puryear places himself before you, as well as an assistant, Rosemary." He waits to rise until he is acknowledged.

"From where do you hail?" asked Lucas Black.

----------------------------------------------------------

"One body, right by Wright's place. Brute force decapitation and advanced decay so no one has a very high opinion of Wright's clean up skills right now. And as someone who's been in town less than a month, you're really not in position to heap praise on how well Wright keeps the Masquerade. He surrounds himself with kine and has a hair trigger temper. He's a breach waiting to happen."

Cassie saw Marcus in the crowd and nearly squealed, causing Mary to smack in her direction, although too far away to make an impact. "Marcus is here! He would know where Wright is! Finally, we are going home!"

Mary growls, "Wake up and smell the fucking blood, Cassie! Wright tossed you aside in that fire and didn't give a damn about you!

Cassie retorts with a sweet smile, "But Marcus didn't."

To that, Mary is silent.

But Cassie finds herself restrained. She can go no further at this time. Rosemary has a firm grip on the mind to ensure this meeting does not go ill.

"Rosemary, out of Memphis; I had a working relationship with her sire, m'lord." He remained still, wondering of the appraising eye of the interrogator. Whether he was prince or not, to go through all this may set them all right on the first step.

The play in his mind left no trace on his body. Cool as a corpse.

Rosemary remains calm and indifferent when Holden speaks of their heritage. Cool blue eyes look on Lucas Black without any sort of regard, whether positive or negative. Just another monster in the never ending stream of monsters. Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Mary screams in the mind, "You fucking TOOL, Holden. Why don't you go and lie with the rest of his dogs, you fu...

Rosemary blinks once, and holds up a clawed hand to her face.

An echoing voice from Rosemary resonates throughout the mind, "That will do, Mary.

And then silence.

"Good," replied Black. "What blood heritage do you claim Holden?"

Rosemary's twisted lips curl into a smile. She recognizes that this blue blood is sizing up Holden. Amusing, that Holden could carry such a threat at first glance. But then again, another competitor in the city means less business. Even a piss poor entrepenuer means some business will be taken away from someone. Rosemary understands it is the nature of their beast. Thankfully, she does not need to worry about such things.

No, she has quite enough to worry about without the concerns of mortal businesses.

Holden finally lets a smile touch his lips. "The game is afoot, my lord. May our clan only strengthen in the nights to come."

"Aren't you going to ask the other childe what her heritage is," Broken Stick rasps. "Who knows what blood flows in her veins?" No one laughs at the emaciated Nosferatu's joke.

And with that, her eyes fall on Broken Stick. She finally speaks, her voice melodic but quiet. "Would you believe me if I said I was an artist?" A wry and ironic smile.
