Take GI Joe, mix it with A-team, and what do you get? A really damn fun show.
The opening starts with a shout-out to the old A-team opening, complete with the 'crime they did not commit' tagline. Duke, Scarlet, Roadblock, and Tunnelrat are the runners, with SnakeEyes just deciding to tag along.
The "crime"? Discovering that Cobra Industries, a wide-ranging corporate entity, is making bio-engineered soldiers out of .... well, let's just say that it's nasty and damn near indestructible. In the course of discovery, that particular site gets blown up, courtesy of our 'regular joes'.
Now, Flint is on their tail as the Military hunts them down, while the Baroness is one of the faces of Cobra Industries, and 'helping' the military find the Renegade (so Cobra can shut them up).
The A-team vibe is great, and the inversion of Cobra as a international corporation instead of a multinational terrorist organization adds to th fun. They even have a 20sec commercial, stating how Cobra Industries provide jobs, revoluntionary new drugs, and new technology for the military. "And knowing is Half the Battle".

Remember you asked. I only muttered due to still waiting on the 1st episode to spin up, so this isn't a final judgement.what's wrong?
[oldmarinemode] First off? The new comic series does it a hell of a lot better you know what with keeping GI JOE a top secret government strike force? Like they're suppose to be? (I should note I do not go for the Sigma Six stuff) While the idea Corporate Cobra doesn't bother me to much ditching the terrorism I don't like. Hell these days a terrorist enemy makes more sense not less. I mean in the old days Cobra was as much about making money as being evil but this? Hey Umbrella is gonna sue at this rate. I want something closer to the original model about an military unit, in the military, doing military things. Not an A Team Cartoon. If they want that they should make a bloody A Team Cartoon and be done with it![/oldmarinemode]

I can see your problems with it, and I fully sympathize. The creators are certainly going for the Corp = the Evil line, with shots at WalMart, the Military, and other 'easy' targets. They are also still rocking the SnakeEyes = the Uber Ninja ... although in the 3rd ep he does get smacked around a bit.
