"No problem, miss." He offers another nod to the masked man as well as to Marcus. "Business calls."

Without a word, she heads out with Holden. Cassie with her tail between her legs. It does not help Mary is taunting her. But something in Cassie stuck tonight, despite Rosemary's best efforts to take the brunt of these kind of things.

Rosemary exhales. So much for them all to learn.

Marcus watches Nathaniel's eyes, the only feature noticable on the stark face and notices the fear, he keeps that in his memory. "Well, it was a pleasure Nathaniel. Hope to see you again." With that he followed Cassie and Holden out after getting his coat.

Nathaniel watches the group leave, still fighting the remains of the the wash of shear terror that briefly overcame him. Forcing it down and returning some sense of warmth to his blood took several moments, but once composed he set about finding his Primogen. He really had to get out of the railyards. For Nate's sake if nothing else.

"Where to, Mister Keeper?" He quirked a brow at Marcus, offering an elbow to the triplets subconsciously as he walked. "I ain't got a good layout of the city yet, 'n I just left an empty suitcase with a trashed hotel room."

Cassie takes Holden's arm and curls into his space like a childe. Rosemary's consciousness and eyes remain about, but Cassie is in need of consoling.

Marcus thought for a moment. He had no idea where they could set up shop. "Cassie can stay with Wright and me until we figure something out for her. You however should have tried to clear something with your primogen. For now we'll go to my haven and figure something out from there."

Cassie smiles through the pain with the mention of Wright. "Is it time to go home?" She asks wantonly.

Rosemary's tone is just as quick to add, "I am not sure that is a good idea."

Mary grins evily, "Whats wrong Rosemary? Oh, I wont hurt Wright, more than a minute. Then he won't feel a thing ever again.

"I agree. There is more to this than you realize, sir. As for land, well, I'd rather carve out my own than be handed some parcel 'n told to wait fifty years to expand it." He smirked. "However..." He paused and retrieved a velvet pouch, heavy and cool to the touch, and holds it out to Marcus. "Payment for Mr. Wright."

Marcus sighed and found a nearby bench which he sat down. "Ah, that's right. I am still owed an explanation on exactly what the hell is going on."

Rosemary fades into the shadows under a tree, allowing Holden to field this one. The body is still transforming, though at this time, it is in a resting period, she is exhausted and in pain from the whole event, as well as balancing the others within the mind.

"Look, I walked away from whatever assault was laid on y'all, and that's fine. I lived, I count my blessings." He rubbed his mouth, choosing his words carefully. "I happened upon Cassie as.. she was a downright mess. I immediately taught her some of the properties of the Blood, filled her in on what she is now.. and have kinda taken her under my protection 'til this is all sorted out. But she's changed, ya know. Sees things differently..." He looks over to Cassie with a soft sigh. "Lost all her looks, no 'family' ties, just a Ventrue bound to teach her the ways of unlife... I didn't want her destroyed so we came up with something as far as backstory.. but lemmie tell ya; a part of her don't like Wright, but there's still Cassie in there."

Marcus narrowed his eyes dangerously. "And the multiple personalities? Or did you forget about those? As for a ventrue teaching her, don't count your chickens before they've hatched. I still have a vested interest in Cassie." There was a dangerous look in the Lasombra's eyes, he'd had a rough couple of nights and things were not looking to get better. Marcus got to his feet, "So why is it a bad idea to see Wright? One of the personalities not like him?"

Rosemary holds them all in check, much to Mary's anger and Cassie's dissapointment. Her sire, as horrible of an affair as it was, she feels a strange and ironic need to protect him. At least until she can get some answers. Wright, well the internal workings are split with him. Rosemary is neutral, Mary wants to slay him with all her heart, and Cassie adores him. Best to let that go and call it a wash. Some things that Holden can explain, and that is fine. But some things no one needs to know. Her secrets, her safety, her soul.[/i]

"You could say that, inna way." He smirks and folds his arms. "Don't do you much good when an angry Nos tears up yer pal in his sleep, or ashes 'im completely. Also shines another light when he's linked to Masquerade breaches." A soft shrug. "I know how to feed all'a Cassie's minds, at least 'til she can cope with gettin' around. After that, I'd say it's up to her and 'er Primogen, wouldn't you?" And he levels his eyes with Marcus.

Marcus snorted. "You think someone of her age could take on someone decades older? Wright is in no danger from Cassie. We need to be careful around the Primogen though, it sure as hell won't take long for them to figure things out, and that will be all four of our heads on a platter. So unless you've got a better idea, or if Cassie can come up with something." Marcus looked back at her. "Your only choices are Railyards or go to my place where we can find some place for you."

Holden tips his head to a side. "Age means nothin' to the sun. Just means you crumple to dust faster. As far as where to go, allow me to confer with my fledgling and we will make our decision post-haste." His eye twitches as he turns and moves towards Cassie. "Miss, we have a decision to make..."

Rosemary repeats to Holden, "I dont think that is a good idea." Very calm and collected. "You have been incredibly helpful thus far, and our lessons have not completed with you."

Mary grins sadistically and says, "But then again, I am sure that Marcus is right. Wright is a good place to stay and he ain't got nothing to fear from us. We are too young to do anything." Mary remembers the ghouls and how much damage they did. She also knows Wright can get wrapped up in things. All she has to do is look for a good time to strike, and make her move.

Marcus snorted, somewhat insulted by the fact that the Ventrue would insult his hospitality like that. For now though he kept his mouth shut. If they didn't take him up on the offer, screw them. They were causing him control anyway.

He turns back towards Marcus. "The choice is made. Railyards it is, for now... tomorrow is always another night." He smiles with a fang, and offers his arm once more.

Cassie takes his arm and asks, "When are we going to see Wright, Holden? When am I going to get to sing for him again?"

"Right, tomorrow."

Marcus got up and headed back to his car without looking back. A part of him wished Cassie luck, this part was quickly quieted. Marcus had no intention of openning the offer a second time, but he wasn't about to tell them that.

"Miss, we will see Wright when the time is at hand. I've paid my debt to him, and do not wish to incur more..charges." He chuckles at the double meaning of it all. "In any case... we could prolly use another feeding.. but that can wait until later. We need to secure a spot and that's that."

Cargo knocked on the door to the rickety house. No response. He fidgeted. She could hear him, he was sure of that. If she was in. What if she was out? Fuck. He padded the heavy revolver in his jacket, reassuring himself of its presence for the eighth time.

The door opened. "Cargo," she said.

"I need your help. I can make it worth your while."

She looked at him carefully. "What trouble have you gotten yourself into?"

"A few ambitious neonates. Nothing you can't handle, but a bit much for my resources at present."

Her gaze was steady. "A Masquerade violation and they've decided to hang you for it. Unfortunate for you Cargo. I suspect the neonates will not long enjoy their prize. Leave the city."

"I can't."

"Ahh yes, your masters will not be pleased. Unfortunate for you, but with adequate blame shifting you may survive it. I suggest you start practicing your explanations now so you will have a really good one by the time you have to report. May I suggest that you remind them that you are a mere ghoul going up against kindred elders."

"What elders?"

"Ahhh, you don't see it. Unfortunate. Think on it some more."

"You have not presented yourself. You need me."

"You're useful, but I don't need you. You're convienent. Don't overstep yourself. And I have helped you. It is unlikely that you can salvage your position. Leave the city and accept the loss." The door closed.

Cargo retreated, cursing. He wasn't going to be driven out. Time to do or die on the roll of the dice.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.
