The article gives us some interesting ideas on the gameplay, and it's apparently being made in cooperation with the writers of the reboot Trek. I know that Trek '09 wasn't everyone's cup of tea, and I certainly think it had some serious problems in the writing department, but I attribute at least some of that to the writer's strike that took place during its development.
Anyway it's been ages since a really decent Star Trek game came out, and while it has some shooter aspects to it it's being called an action/adventure game. So I'm hoping it won't just be shooting up aliens all the time.
Plus it's coop play so that automatically gets a thumbs up from me.
