Despite my best efforts, the game is getting less and less likely tonight everyone. I'm sorry, but my condition has been slipping back some and as of right now I'm not feeling well enough to run the session this week.

Okay everyone, it's time for the birthday game. Who's birthday? Mine.
You're level three. I'm level 30. It's go time.
Make sure your character sheets are updated on Obsidian Portal prior to the game if you would please. I'd hate to have you killed with the wrong stat blocks.

Tick tock, less than an hour on the clock...
Hope you have your characters ready, because I know I've got mine ready...

Sorry guys, I am feeling pretty awful today, and have taken medicine that will cause me to be unconscious for a good long while. As such, I'm very unlikely to be present for tonight's festivities.

Given that I cannot get Cameron on Skype. I can't make the game tomorrow. Sorry about that guys. All things considered, it may be best to let Marcoa or Cat run my character. If CT or anyone else who won't send Cale to his death, rob him of his possessions or humiliate him wants to, go ahead. Remember that when I return I will be crafty, vengeful and I am full of hatred and spite society will not allow me to vent.
That is all.
That is all.

Ok, we do NOT let Havoc run Cale.

Just as a reminder, since everyone hit level 4 last time and got some upgraded gear, please do update your Obsidian Portal pages appropriately by tonight, and if possible adjust your stat page to reflect the example I have given previously in this thread. It will make my updating of your character's stats in Screenmonkey that much easier.

The fine fellows at Green Ronin have released an open playtest of Set 3 for Dragon Age, available here. Obviously, not everything will be implemented or matter for implementation for our game, and our mages would be quite mad to try and pick up and use any of the spells listed in this supplement due to accelerated chances of dying terribly.
However, all new stunts (all for mages, sadly) are available, and really anything talent or skill-wise you might be able to use, save rune-crafting, which right now is not...well, ready. At least not for players.
Really, this means very little for everyone. Nobody is near level 6 yet, so none of the new specializations matter much, aside from possible planning people might have. The new backgrounds might have mattered at game start, but really now aren't of much use.
Anyway, not a huge thing, but it's out there for everyone.

A reminder: The Timelords have seen fit to take an hour of sleep from me. I will be cranky, and the game will be in around 12.5 hours from this post.
Lateness will be met with death. Timely arrives will be met with cake.

I'm going to have to bow out of the Monday night games for a few weeks. The end of the semester is coming up and all the papers I could have started earlier but didn't are going to be taking up most of my time.
I may miss the return of Rogue Trader and the start of Eclipse Phase. Or I might suddenly stop being a terrible grad student (hah, right) and be able to pop in for those. Either way, this semester's over in five weeks.

I'm sorry to see you have to withdraw from the game night, even if only temporarily, but you need to do what you need to do, and real life always takes priority over the game. Anyway, if you have a preference for who will run Martaine while you're out, just let me know, and I look forward to your glorious return.
#43 Re: Dragon Age: Lost Eminance
So I have to apologize everyone for the game running so late tonight, but for those of you who missed it, here is a brief synopsis of the rest of the fight:
The Darkspawn all died, Vincente, Leon, and Ser Girard are all alive, as is part of the party.
But for a TN 13 Con (Stamina) save that Aitor only just barely made, Eliseath would have died, and Aitor may have followed shortly thereafter.
Martaine briefly saw visions of his family, then went and thrust his mighty shaft into many Genlocks with Maim at his side.
Cale learned that being annoying will get you poisoned.
And you all heard that Razikale is watching you, and that Aitor is marked.
The last action before Maim was revived involved Martaine attempting to break the statue at the center of the ritual, and it swirling into a cloud of dust...
To Be Continued......

How does a freaking Kossith manage to get into a rowboat, stand up in it, lift a man in the air while standing on the rowboat, and then drown a man off the side, all without capsizing the boat?

What I wanna know is why I can't I slip out of the city to go kill Ban Morten without tripping over 1 of 15 gizaillion plots of his? What is this guy the Joker or something?
Can someone tell me in what kind of a world we live in, where an honest mercenary can't sneak out of town to kill a noble without tripping over a plot against the throne?
I'm trying to conduct an assassination here! This is unprofessional!

Hey, nothing is stopping you from just leaving the city anyway if you want to. It's not my fault if you have pesky things like ethics and morals in your way.

One could note, if one was inclined to, that since you're the GM and thus in charge of this world that it most certainly is your fault. That is if one was inclined to make such notes.
