By sheer happenstance, natheniel passed by someone in a trenchcoat. Just putting a priest collar back into his shirt.

The man noticed him, and thankfully, it was father Leonard, just finished feeding on a some ill-repute
"Good evening to you sir" the priest said.
"If you dont mind my asking, why do you wear that mask? Jut come back from an evening revel?

Father Leonard wrote:"Good evening to you sir"
Nathaniel stopped, taken back by the greeting that intruded on his thoughts.
"Good evening Father, you are out and about late."

He then notices the pale aura. How interesting, perhaps the beast wore such a costume to disarm suspicion among the living?
"If you dont mind my asking, why do you wear that mask? Jut come back from an evening revel?
"It hides a face I don't want you to see. I never was much of a party goer, I wear it at all times."

His eyes probed the creature before him, large and dark they filled the holes in the mask. The only readable part of his face, and they showed curiousity, wonder. The emotions were real, but well hidden was disgust. Actually, that was always there...

He decided to play at not realizing the trenchcoated corpse was undead.

"I hear these streets are dangerous, especially at night. Gangs, thugs, and other, more surprising things too.

I hope you do not run into such troubles. Might I ask why you are out here this late?" He gave every impression of being completely sincere in his concern. Truth be told, he was in a way. Even these creatures didn't necessarily deserve death, and he wasn't about to pass judgement on this one. Not that the guy really needed to worry about much on the street, but still, he wasn't trained in acting for nothing.

The pale aura told him that this was but a ruse.

"My friend, I am not without my defenses. I dare say thaose dangerous things have more to fear from me than I have of them, especially the gangs, thugs and suprising things. As it were. On my part, I am returning home after grabbing a bite to eat. How about yourself?" There was no malice. This one seemed fairly...decent

As Nathaniel held his discussion with the sword wearing priest, Marcus arrived at his haven to find Wright waiting for him. But not all of the city's vampires were dancing around each other. Jason stalked toward's Cargo's address.

It was easy to find. A lot of muscle on display. Sure they could be mistaken by someone else as bootleggers or mob soldiers, but to Jason they just confirmed the location. The warehouse was a thick brick two story building. Guards by the doors and on the fire escape. Covering line of sight for most of them, although the guards on the ground weren't looking up. Very tricky.

"Your protege seems to be doing well," said the woman as she glidded through the darkened stone corridor.

"Thank you, dona," the man replied. "I must confess to a little pride in her accomplishments."

"It is entirely appropriate for a teacher to be proud of a gifted student. Did you hear who was in attendance?"

"Strathcona?" the man answered. "Yes. A pity the Ventrue got him first. He would have made a good addition to the clan."

"El Cid would remain El Cid, even if embraced by the Brujah. Strathcona has made important contributions to our common endeavour."

"That is true dona."

"In any event, it was not Strathcona who I was refering too. A tall, handsome stranger was part of his enterage. An individual who was last scene when Strathcona had his meeting with Radu Bistri."

"If they are aligning against us, why did they endorse Carlotta? Clearly, just one move among many. Perhaps to arrange to disgrace her and our Friends by association."

"Possibly," she answered. "Where is Bistri now?"

"Milan," said the man. "Dona, what could he be planning?"

"Something especially devious," she replied.

Marcus openned the door and slipped out of the basement, locking the door again behind him. "About what?" Marcus looked much calmer now then he had the past few nights.

"I put Jason on Cargo. He'll bring me his head. But we got more to do. It's not going to end there. And I gotta know, are you ready to go balls-to-the-wall?"

Marcus barely seemed to think about it. "I've been planning on it to be honest with you." Marcus walked towards the library. "We'll need to start with the gangs. With them causing all sorts of havok this place will be in chaos. Next we get the anarchs and independants stirred up and angry. You got any other ideas?"

"Yeah, I do. But I'm not going to bullshit you on them, because they're both longshots. Give me three nights or so, and I'll see if I can get both my clan and the Gangrel into this on our side. And then, we fucking hunt."

Marcus looked over at Wright. "From what I understand from the talk at elysium, you're shunned by your clan. And the gangrel are more likely to piss on you then listen to you. You're a young kindred. In this society you're not worth more than the dirt you stand on. You start war with one elder, you start war with all the elders."

"You won't be exposed. If I fuck this up, you'll have deniability. We don't go in together, you aren't seen with me, and if it goes bad, you say 'Well, everyone knew what a fuckup lunatic Wright was, the sick bastard'. Work for you?"

He grinned, beaming with relaxed confidence.

Marcus smirked at Wright. "I was simply warning you about what we're going up against here. We should spend the next few nights collecting intel. Getting the anarchs upset will be as easy as popping one of their insignificant asses. Same with the Independants. And they're where most of our chaos is gonna come from. We want these fuckers to not know what hit them until we're safe from prying claws."

Holden led the triplets to a house with a 'condemned' sign on front of it, but even the sign looked like it should have a smaller sign of its own. Bigger fish to fry, he figured. Now to see if it has residents. He led Cassie through a few bent rails of the fence, and up to the front door.

"Does this look well used to you?" He looks it up and down, giving the door a slight push.

"Fine, we take a week. You play the anarchs and the bitch-boys, I'll play the clans. It'll cost us to get the support we need, but my plan is to turn this town upside down, and then grab some juicy pieces. And you, pal, you can get into something good here."

Cassie REELED, "Do we have to stay...here? This is worse than Wright's place!"

Rosemary exhales, and calmly says, "What she means is, this will do for a temporary basis."

They walk through the door, carrying their limp leg behind them and taking a gander over their new home for a spell.

Marcus smiled. "I've got a pretty good idea of what I want." Inside his head Marcus laughed. This schmuck didn't seem to know what he was really getting himself into here so blatantly going against the Camarilla. "I still say it's a bad idea to go to the clans. They're too complacent here and won't like change. You give them any warning we're up to something and I can assure you we'll both be dead by the following sundown."

"Indeed, Cassie, it's below my tastes as well, but I have to be practical now, hm? I promise, tomorrow we can start on gettin' things improved. Power over the mortal mind.." he waggles his brows.. "accomplishes much."

He had to chuckle at himself, and shuts the door as tightly as possible.

Inside looks like it is used by vagrants in a pinch, but no immediate visitors are noticable in the front room. Dust coats everything, scraps of food, remnants left of a fire over a fire on a fire in the fireplace long smouldered out.

"Charming, of course."

Cassie is pacified.

Mary, however, peeks her head out. Territorial and primal, she sniffs the room for habitation of any sort.

Marcus smiled. "It better be. But wait until May to do something." Marcus sat down in the library and relaxed. He had lots of time to start trouble with the gangs and the anarchs.

With the Beast peeking her head out so close to the surface, she can smell, underneath the stink of leftovers, the stink of humans. Not so intense here, but it wafts, from one of the rooms down the hallway.

Holden doesn't give the appearance that he notices, dusting off the mantle with a fingertip instead, appraising the house, rubbing his chin in the way one would estimate someone's weight.

She notices a rat scurrying across the floor and tilts her head at the thing. She hears the heartbeat of the creature, much like she did the human earlier. She can hear the thing making sounds, sounds she never heard before. It is deafening.

Mary growls to the rat, "SHUT UP!" and finds she is not speaking with her human tongue. Instead she is making the same strange squeaks and sounds that the rat was. Thump, thump thump. Like Poe's Telltale heart. It is maddening.

Holden tips his head to a side, curious. "D'you say something?" He seems to have been brought out of a daze by her activities... is she going insane again? He honestly wasn't paying her any attention.

"Does it feel a little drafty to you?" Not that the dead flesh would mind the cold, but it is indeed a bit breezy.

Mary ignores the stupid hick, and listens carefully as the rat seems to be...speaking? to her? She understands it, which is what really is unnerving. Subtly, she can feel Rosemary's approval, as she explores.

Rosemary understands. For longevity, each part will need to find a way to exist. If not, then when the wrong one comes to the surface, they will all die.

Mary looks to the room the scent of human comes strongest from, listening to the rat. Fleeeeesh there. Yesssss.

She drags her body down the hall with more agility then her crippled form should allow.
