A friend of mine got the Read or Die series through hacking and bootlegging. Not a huge fan of pirating myself, nor do I possess the know how :P

Anyway,
have never seen Escaflowne or Evangelion, and never really cared for what I've seen of Akira.
However, do have Bubblegum Crisis, Trigun, and Rayearth. The kids love them.
Enjoy Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Project Ako, Cowboy Bebop, and the apparently new style of DBZ they've been showing on the TV recently. Much better than before, although 15 minutes of grunting and bulging muscles makes me think of a gay club in Montana. :\

Was one of the first things my friends made me watch. The quality kind of sucked, though. Picked up later in the series, though. And, eh, it wasn't that bad for a cartoon.. Just not.. terribly great either.
Much preferred Noir. Even if it was slow.
