Wait, wait, how is it that your tablet run Xcom but your computer can't?

Mine's 4 (and was hand-downs when it was built) and it apparently can't handle XCOM either.Plus there's a tablet designed version of XCOM and we don't know how old his tablet is (a current tablet probably has more computing power than all my pre-2010 PCs combined).

I'm just shocked that tablets can actually run a game like Xcom. To me "can run on a tablet" is synonymous with absurdly low system requirements, to the point of being comparable to even a seven year old desktop. I guess they've gotten more powerful than I thought. My own system's not exactly a hotrod, it's a hand me down my sister gave me about a year and a half ago. From the looks of it, she bought it summer of 2010, so she used it for two and a half years before upgrading. Benefits of being an engineer I guess.

I honestly don't even keep up with current computer specs these days. Once they went beyond the simple formula of "Pentium 120 megahertz" to all the dual/quad core stuff and I was out trucking I couldn't stay current on what's good.

Fortunately best friend is a tech head so whenever he says I need a new video card or motherboard or whatever I just go along. I my upgrade cycle is about every three to four years.

I'd totally get XCom for the tablet but I know my cheapy couldn't handle it. Maybe the next phone will.

My upgrade cycle seems to be whenever my family or significant other have a laptop they don't need any more. ^_^;
