You can make up Adama's mischaracterization by having him shot the bastards who beat up a helpless little girl. I'm pretty sure he's not letting that stand. Hell from a military standpoint he has to do something or he loses control over that battlestar. If you can't control it, you don't have it. It's not an asset anymore, it's liability.

From my standpoint, it would be better to kill half the crew and replace them with rookies then allow the lost of 50% of the fleet's combat power.

Given they're kicking the shit out of the little sister of the enormously overprotective weapons officer and hand-to-hand combat specialist on the Aurora....

Actually, I think people will enjoy how I have Adama handle a brief exchange with Angel over Cat's savage beating.

DS, you and I both know how far The Doctor went for Rory and Amy. Demon's Run would be a smoking ruin if the touched Katherine.

But as many others have pointed out...

the SI Doctor isn't the real Doctor

Though he has taken on some of the personality traits of Ten more than Eleven.

I tend to see him as having become, at this point of the story, a psychological doppelganger of the Doctor, a reflection if you will, though with some distortion given his mind has been screwed up.

I also like to think I've hit a sweet spot of characteristics. Elements of Ten, Eleven, and a smidgen of Three, all with individual characteristics not directly attributable to other Doctors. The mix being enough to make him a unique version, or at least a unique copycat, of the real thing.

So, you have a plan for how Lucca, Chronos, and Merle survive the fall.

I figured Lucca wasn't there in the first place, or was at her home protecting her kids. (Hence why she didn't recognize the Doctor when he rescued her in Chronopolis). As for Crono and Marle... yep.

Plus I shall reveal Dalton's ultimate fate.... which can be scary when you consider that he's instigating mass murder right in front of the Doctor.

And just in case anyone is familiar with it, no, I'm not modeling this after Crimson Echoes' take on the Fall of Guardia. The only similarities are the obvious ones; the sack of Truce and that Dalton used teleportation magic to invade Guardia Castle and bypass defenses.

You are right. Compared to what the Doctor could do in the name of justice, dying is a Mercy. It is still a walk down a very, very dark path, even if Daltonw as mercifully saved from the Doctor.

I'm not a big fan (or any type of fan) of nBSG, so this went a bit slow for me.

But still, interesting resolution.

Yeah, we now have a raging TimeLord on the loose in the InnerSphere. Ryan Steiner and anyone who backed this play will be finding out just how many ways there are to NOT die, and wish they could.

Such wonderful, apt punishments for the assassin and his master. I far preferred the gift to Mab, however. You're right, Harry would be most upset, even as payback for Katherine's death. Yet still, flowers in the Winterlands, and a gardener who knows how best to grow them. I wonder if Grandmother Winter will be gifted with a few for their garden.

But ice breaks, fury fades, and there's naught left but the pain and tears. Will he go to the lying in state? to the funeral? Will he speak to Victor words of wisdom?

And a way to return Katherine arises.....

She was a clever girl - she was probably good for the Time Lord, though she fed and continues to feed his hubris...

And Hope dies, taking the best part of the Doctor with her.

So, I'm assuming this next scene will be what gets the StarFleet Time Corp "Kill On Sight" warrant out on him.

I have to admit, he's got a point with all the "Prime Directives" that governed the NextGen StarFleet. It was criminal all they let happen just because some pencil pusher thought Interference in Natural Progression was a Bad Thing.

But, on the flip side, there are always Reprecussions in any interference, whether by Starfleet or a tampering TimeLord. As we've seen, the Timeline is trying to correct itself already. He's been found, he's being hampered by the Time Force. It's just like his attempts to stop the Attack on the Colonies, there is something here that is supposed to happen. It may not be totally Fixed Point, but what he does here will break something down the line.

BTW: the Vulcan was a little too emotional with his *visible* annoyance at the Doctor. But then again, this Doctor is probably far more emotional than the average human(oid). That he's probably projecting telepathically a bit doesn't help.

Vulcans aren't all exemplars like Spock or Sarek. Sturek is, relatively speaking, a rather minor Vulcan who probably allows irritation to show more easily.

Good point. Surek had a century as an Ambassador to learn, while Spock was always trying to be more Vulcan than Vulcan. He did go for Kol'a'Nar, washing himself free of all emotion. Unfortunately, his ties to Kirk were too strong.

"horrible things won't happen while I rest"

FAMOUS LAST WORDS. Very soon now, he'll find the thing he can't Fix, and it will bite him HARD, cost him much, and he will see just how bad things can get when he interfers. Such as the Empire without the Rebel Alliance -- no Skywalkers, no General Solo. No Borg expansion will leave the Federation without a Fleet prepped for the Klingon Civil War, the Cardassian War, and the Changeling War. One Imperial Guard might not seem like a lot, but the Tanith Legion was key in several future battles, iirc.
However, I'm a firm believer that no Word of Blake is a Good Thing. Religious nutjobs had no right to exist in the canon in the first place. Comstar by itself was enough of a blackguard without extremists; pretenuous kingmakers and backstabbing warmongers, the lot of them.
