So. I should have waited to post "Old Wive's Tales". It was really in need of a better ending, and more editing. But at 6am in the morning, after writing all night, I wasn't really thinking that way.

I like it and I think you have a good story here. The twist is a nice one.

I am well aware of this feeling.LadyTevar wrote:So. I should have waited to post "Old Wive's Tales". It was really in need of a better ending, and more editing. But at 6am in the morning, after writing all night, I wasn't really thinking that way.
And I liked it. It was a nice twist to find out what Granny was up to.

If you know your AD&D Draconomicon (and supplements), the townsfolk are all red-haired because Granny and Mordenkinan were more than just friends.

I am not familiar with the source material, but so far it's a decent story. You've given us all a glimpse of what each character is like, set up the basic elements of the world, and given us tension on what caused the shima to howl. Was it Nura and his bodyguard? Or something else?
I'll make sure to read the next installment when you finish it.

So the plot thickens, I see.
I wonder if you're intending to have the Japanese yokai stuff clash with a Western counterpart?
