Their is no evidence for the existence of "spirit" and to believe in it without evidence is irrational. Evidence of non-corporeal existence is non-existence. Any belief in such is one based on faith, not evidence, and is such irrational. That doesn't mean you're wrong.

You're idea of "pure" religions is a can of worms that requires a separate topic. The relevant point that Walper cannot dismiss people as completely irrational because they hold one or more irrational beliefs.

As for Walper's question, Robert it is well known that you have in the past distorted all evidence to make the borg what you want them to be, rather than what they are depicted on screen. This is irrational, but I cannot dismiss your opinions merely because you are irrational on this one subject.

Get back to the program people. Guilt and sin.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Robert Walper wrote:Out of curiousity (not nitpicking), do you refer to reality as "he" intentionally, or do you actually mean "it" as your deity? I'm assuming you don't actually apply a gender definition to the concept of reality...?
He is generally accepted as a neutral term for things without a gender, at least in the languages I've studied(Except for the French.). Obviously an eleven dimensional coordinate set of spacetime cannot have a gender in the human sense, be it sentient or not.

In the English language, "he" is the appropriate gender neutral term to refer to a person of unknown gender or to a hypothetical person for whom gender doesn't matter for the purpose of the hypothetical.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.
