Damn right. Would he like a little barrel of prometheium to wear around his neck when he gets burnt at the stake?

You know its a lot easier to get yourself out of these situations when you dream up the situations and know the right answer.

As for the Promethium, how about something with more ummph? Like a melta charge. If we're going to do it, let's skip the half measures.

Yeah, 'tis.

PS: How did PCM's ship get into the corona of the sun? 40K ships (Necrons and eldar excepted) have to jump out at 'the edge of the system,' you'd be kinda shot... trying to run from the edge of Kar Duniash to the system's sun. Better to lurk out further into deep space or something.

Oh, aye, and if you really must have hints on getting out of this, I suppose you could query me... Not that I design these situations with obvious ways out.

That was a joke complaint. It's a mark of respect for your fiendishness.

It's not that obvious to me. But I have a few ideas. My resevoir of cunning is not empty yet. I'll just have to see if it works.

Simple. I left before Gix, I arrived before Gix.

What kind of ship is that thing? Even a Cairn class tombship would have difficulty with that feat.

Not quite that simple. I didn't have to stop to meet marines, made good time, and the warp isn't an entirely predictable travel medium. Of course, that still means you could have arrived ahead.

Yeah... And firing on the command ship of Kar Duniash's fleet would be a good way to get everyone turned into chunks of flesh floating through space...

It'd all make a lot more sense if SOMEONE *nudge nudge, wink wink* hadn't skipped the period where Pater amassed his forces.

This is a Segmentum Naval base. As in naval headquarters for the Segmentum. We aren't going to outgun them.

Probably wouldn't help. Those things don't stop low velocity impactors, (hence why he can touch a comm panel without melting it) and that's essentially what a bolt is, at such close range, anyway.

Oh, and for the record:

One can be declared Living Saint while one is posessed by a demon. They don't get it right all the time.

Yeah, but Lena's proven her bonafides quite nicely. Besides, this is diplomacy.

In the sense of saying 'Good doggy' while reaching for a stick.

There's a huge difference between a the velocity of a bolt and touching a com panel. It'll stop one all right. Most of the time. If it activates.

Nope. He knows what this is about, after all.

However, the Ophelia Seven business will interest him, if there's enough of Vidol's ship to salvage and examine, he might well look into that.
