#1 ST/SW crossover STGOD Recruitment
Star Trek and Star Wars crossover STGOD...
The Scenario:
Trek
After the Dominion War, which was barely won (in this alternate continuity) Federation forces found themselves stretched somewhat thin and somewhat underpowered compared to their usual standards. One of their scout ships has inadvertenly encountered a wormhole leading to the Star Wars galaxy, circa 3900 BBY (before the Battle of Yavin).
Wars
Fifty years after the Jedi Civil War, the galaxy is slowly rebuilding its armies and infrastructure, on albeit limited resources given that the Peragas Fuel Station was rendered out of commission. A Republic Patrol ship encounters the previously mentioned Federation Scout Ship.
Other Rules
-The Jedi would be rare, possibly only one per poster should be allowed.
-The Sith still exist on the edges of the galaxy, and will be available for play
-There will be no time travel, acts of Q, one-shot plot devices (Genesis, Mass-Shadow Generator, etc.), or superweapons in general
-This should be a Cold War/Political Thing at first, with no overt combat between Republic and Federation forces, because it's what would realistically happen (in fact, no combat would take place without a serious fuckup anyway)... however, anyone who plays Klingons/Romulans/Borg/Sith/etc. can also act canonically (ie: Blast the living shit out of your opponents, it's how you were written).
And finally, the most important rule to remember:
Each side's technological base is pretty much identical in overall effectiveness, wheras the Republic might have better firepower, the Federation might have better propulsion or something. In short: No curbstomping the opposition with Canon Firepower, this is an STGOD, not a realistic portrayal of how events would turn out if it boiled down to violence.
Fleet numbers are probably going to be in the thousands for each of the sides... for extra fairness. Also: one change made is that Trek ships have all been refitted with Slipstream Technology due to a recent favouritism of speed over numbers. Whether this is realistic or not is up for debate, but it allows for a fairer duelling ground.

I do believe he's referring to the other, unrelated genre and universe, STGOD...
I actually made sure in both the Kitchen Table and the Library that there wasn't any already-made ST/SW STGODs...
And there weren't any

If this comes to pass, I want to play Star Wars side of things, though the thought of Ferrengi was tempting

I'd like to bring the Proteus in from my old Trek fanfic. Heh, it's a tiny-ass ship compared to those of the Warsverse, but it's still cool. AND, I don't have to make up more characters. I got Holifield, Childes, Vrann, Satik, all there already.

Perhaps the Reps could start trade negotiations with the Feds? Neither side would likely percipitate a conflict, I wouldn't think. The Klingons and Sith, on the other hand, would want to do everything in their power to get them fighting. After all, the Feds fall, the Sith have an entire galaxy open to conquest.

And the Jedi of that era would actually be looking for students... the Betazoid population looks somewhat rife with force adepts
Aye, the Sith are a big worry. And the Borg are going to make an appearance if Walper has anything to say about it.The Klingons and Sith, on the other hand, would want to do everything in their power to get them fighting. After all, the Feds fall, the Sith have an entire galaxy open to conquest.
I'll probably adapt Drenen the Wizard (Character from an Unreleased Original Fiction of mine) into a Jedi personally... Indeed. Maybe a few Vulcans, too. They'd be just fine with the Jedi's stoggy philosophy. And the Jedi of that era would actually be looking for students... the Betazoid population looks somewhat rife with force adepts
