About 8 meters or so. Feel free to hose me. For the record: flak bodyglove, active conversion field, telekinetic force ward, augmented speed, danger sense precog, lung & nasal filters, and anti-flash contact lenses.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

I would have Gix do more damage with those grenades, but it makes no narrative sense if you actually manage to kill any harlequins. My objective is to have these guys kick you guys to the curb.

You win too often, see?

No fair. Well, once this is done I'll be sure to überise my characters to the point where a Solitaire is just a pre-breakfast warmup.

Uh, do you read my Memoria posts?

As for Pcm, all you had to do to uberize yourself was bring a squad of Marines a long in the board torpedo.

Actually, no. I rarely read the memoria threads, barring intermittent skimming. Various things keep me busy, and I have to beat you guys up here. Besides, I tend to preffer the more structured fanfics (including yours) that are available as recreational reading.

But, if you insist, I shall rephrase: You beat my NPCs too often, and they'll get unthreatening, and I can't have that now, can I?

You do that, and I'll have your characters pass out due to the volume of blood being transferred to the wang causing blackouts, whenever the action starts.

The only possible Uberizing I plan for Malk is summed up in three words.

Tactical. Dreadnought. Armour.

And I'm saving that, because I strongly suspect it'll last about twelve seconds.

Hey now, TDA is fairly balanced. One can barely run in it, and there's no crouching!

Incidentally, Jolan should certainly be able to pick up on what the harlequins are saying to each other in that post. Especially where the shadow-seer repeats itself, as it's getting fairly emotional there.

Except for the little detail that Jolan's a crappy telepath. Mindspeech over distance to another telepath and close range mindspeech is the extent of his abilities in that arena. Eavesdropping on eldar is beyond him.

The shadowseer was broadcasting for anyone in the area (they're talking to multiple eldar at once, about two dozen at least). He'd assumed that Jolan was dead.

And then there's the slippery eldar factor of them perhaps (I've not nailed that one down) wanting the 'mon-keigh' to hear them.

I could twink it. Specifically, by making it do the same Stargate-esque telescoping trick as I do with the axe.

Which, I'm sorry, still strikes me as neat.

Power armour that turns into terminator armour?

If you can think of any way that's even remotely plausible, go for it! It's too laughable to complain about.

...Awww, shit, that requires me making sure this ship doesn't explode. That's gonna keep me real busy.

Okay, guys? Can we try not losing this one? I'd like to do research and development assuming we live.

As for giant space bug ass: I vote we send the Deathwatch to haul their weight around for a change.

Right, you can all stand down from the combat posting. Y're all safe, and that fool Vidor has let his security be compromised again. Oh, and as Gix apparently ain't too telepathically hot, Prius can get the bone on this one, as he's been robbed of the chance to do much this time.

And in about half an hour - lightspeed lag - your ships will detect Lena's (scaryhuge) battle fleet, though you could confirm all that psycically long before mundane technology does so.

Damn, I love those new portable webgates they introduced in the 3rd ed. They're such a wonderful little plot device...

Bring my Deathwatch? Five guys in restrictive armour, kitted out to fight 'Nids? Don't make me laugh, they'd be dead before their posthuman boots hit the deck.

Yes, five superhumanely fast demigods in excellent armour with deadly weapons who are alien killing specialists will go down like dogs.

Jolan and Pater did.

...

Okay, I admit it. I didn't want to steamroller the Eldar, so I had to invent a reason the Deathwatch were left behind. It's their day off?

(Note to all Moggies of Scientific Disbelief- I am joking, and thus a well-reasoned reply is not strictly necessary)

"Because he understands that's his duty," she said, remembering she and Pater's talk before her Psyker training. "He understands that protecting the weak is simply what the strong must do."
Alert! Alert! Insufficient evil!

You're not supposed to believe things like that! You're meant to believe that by being weak, they fail the Emperor, fail to honour his continous sacrifice on their behalf and deserve to be punished!

Here are some good phrases for the fluffy inquisitor

"He's purging all those who would dare attack humanity."

"He's exterminating the Emperor's enemies."

"He's providing the leadership necessary for them to become strong enough to annhilate the Emperor's enemies."
