ghetto edit: these work comps are really screwy they keep messing up my post submissions and logging me out. They are almost unbearable.
Yes, that is alright. I enjoy the way they have already worked in technobabble. So on this ship, is Destructionator XIII, picked up from the Trolls.
Dest. XV the Second is with the rest of the renegades in the Sol system.
Remember that the Destructionators have already got the biolasers and hyperdrives (I was thinking they took these from the Asgard, but its not canon, so feel free to play with that). So they are a threat to a Stardestroyer if need be.

I have no problem with Asgard hyperdrive. In fact, the non-ring transporters I use (including on the Ascendancy) are stolen from the Asgard.

Excellent. Also, Asgard hyperdrives are plenty fast, faster than SW hyperdrives IIRC, so they can use it to out run the Empire if need be or get back and forth between galaxys in nice time.

A little note:
Galadriel's lightsabre was modified to have a blue-white blade. Allegedly, it shines with the Light of Eärendil (remember that bottle she gave Frodo? Yeah.). So, disregard the "curved blade" stuff from earlier, OK?

Well I ain't pretty sure whether they're the same organization, but my idea is originally derived from X-Files (as well as typical Sydney Sheldon books): the international conspirators, the Cancer Smoking Man, and such.
Now, unlike usual STGOD, where the goal is to defeat the enemy in space battles or such, the goal of Coruscant mission is to search for information without being noticed, and leaving no trace (or at least as little trace as possible).
While your party may face enemies like building security personnel, Coruscant police, or agents of the Organization, simply killing them all may discover the mission. Of course the likes of Galadriel or Commander Flotsam may simply toast them, but provoking them ring the alarm would cause the mission go astray; so does leaving too many dead bodies in the Jedi temple or other buildings the party may infiltrate.
The party may eventually find the information they need, but if they cause too many damage, the building will be surrounded by SWAT team from CRPD (Coruscant Police Department). Of course they can still escape by brute force (ie having a shuttle blast the top of the building and then pick them off), such method would cause severe reprisal from the Empire.
Probably it would be too easy if Ra's party find everything on Jedi temple. Perhaps they may find classified records about the truth behind the Outbound Flight etc, but other info? Comprehensive data about the Guardians? Nah. The Organization is not that stupid. But don't worry, Destructionator XIII is with them. His hacking skill would surely be needed. He may help Ra's party to decide which building(s) to infiltrate
And remember, the party should keep the tough, cigar-chomping, Duke-Nukemish Commander Flotsam from being trigger-happy. But of course, Flotsam would be very valuable when the party has no choice but goes berserk(for instance, when the party needs to break the police barricade).
EDIT: Rationally, what the reaction of Ra's party when they discover that the Jedi Temple is now a museum open to public? Of course they would try to collect unclassified information first, then some facts my attract their interest to focus on certain things. There would also some hacking through the internet, but logically not all information is acessible through the net. Perhaps the most important ones would be hold in a "non-networked" holocubes that must be physically attained by infiltrating the building. But what buildings?
More EDIT: This is just an idea, but I would imagine Commander Flotsam may have some trouble with costums, or being involved in a barfight, or anything that will put him in jail. Don't be desperate, though! Who knows the commander can meet some useful criminals there.

I just realized how many different universes we have coming together here. Now, we have the CANCER MAN! I wonder what character is going to come up next?
Bester?
SELA?!
DARK HELMET??2!!11!
:P
In reality, I love this. Throwing in CSM was a great idea. He's gonna have everyone chasing their tails before it's over with.

Well how about Ra's party encountering a tourist family with two kids and a toddler, then the boy remarks to his dad, "Homer, this place is boring. Let's see the video documentation where Anakin slaugthered the younglings!"Ra wrote:I just realized how many different universes we have coming together here. Now, we have the CANCER MAN! The the dad replies with shock, "Bart!! Stop it! I told you many times to call me DAD!"
Yup. Remember the Organization is subtle; the CSM can use third parties like CRPD (Coruscant Police Department) or IBI (Imperial Bureau of Intelligence) without they realize they're being used. ;)Ra wrote: :P

And the CSM can appear benevolent; apparently helping Mulder and Scully... :P I mean Ra and Galadriel with apparently benevolent motives.
By the way.....
It wasn't Detritus! It was Commander Flotsam!
(time for edit button :P )
PS: Flotsam is a fugitive. Perhaps that would actually work for the party's benefit.
PPS: There is published statistics about people with high midichlorian counts (although they wouldn't be Jedi. Nobody's interested to be Jedi anymore). It would make ordinary people bored, but Destructionator, being a Data clone, would notice an oddity in the statistics.
;)
Hint: the population of people with high midichlorian count showing some strange regularities at certain age; which contradicts natural population growth. Also, there is certain generation (which, after further investigation, showed certain genetic similarity) that "moves" with time (for example, there are 87965 six years old at 1997; then 87965 seven years-old at 1998, etc, etc, then suddenly they disappeared at 2000)

I currently have 4 plot threads going on, and I have decided to lst them here (mostly as a reminder to myself)
The Destructionator renegades: fighting for revenge against the Imperials (and the Borg when they return) for the loss of my first Destructionator fleet. They will soon discover the truth about the ancients and will blow the hell out of them.
The A'millian 127th fleet: this is the fleet and starbase in the Milky Way. They are of lesser importance now, but will soon return to the forefront as the main force fighting the Empire when Lord Adam returns.
The plot on A'millian Prime: the Lady has to worry about the politics with the masses, and the truth will get to her. However, with the communication gaps between each faction, what one knows the others will not know for some time. Bujt even once she knows the truth, she will have to face Khardem's meddling with the general population.
The 5 year mission of the starship Iyo: To explore strange, new worlds... wait, that's not it. Oh yes, they are exploring the remote system with the 2 bioships, and they are starting to know the truth, but they are unable to tell headquarters because of the Ancient's song messing up their communications. They will have more ground missions and will eventually have to destroy the bioships.

Not to mention inciting war against the Federa... I mean the New Alliance. Later, when Mulder... er.. Ra is back from Coruscant and learns more, he would find the situation is getting more urgent. So further investigation (like visiting a Guardian planet) is performed during wartime (like B5).Destructionator XV wrote:The plot on A'millian Prime: the Lady has to worry about the politics with the masses, and the truth will get to her. But let's worry about it later. Now, Destructionator XIII is going to help Ra/Galadriel interpreting some statistical data, while the Daleks do some hacking. Ultimately they would need to infiltrate a building, or some secret facilities? Or both? Meanwhile, the A'Millan defense on a colony planet is going to be crushed between two titans (or probably helping the Guardian a little).

D'oh!It wasn't Detritus! It was Commander Flotsam!
God, I can be so stupid! Sorry, guys.
Anyway, KAN (responding to your PM), I'm not leaving the temple just yet. While the main group (Ra, Galadriel) might go around and take the grant tour or something, D XIII will make himself scarce. Like the Lady said, they found most of what they need, except for the most important clue. Why C'baoth championed the mission in the first place.
Of course, it's because of the Guardians, but our protagonists will have to figure that out themselves.

Just so it doesn't catch anyone off guard, I intent to bring in a planet from another realm:
(not related to Q's influence currently responsible for the Borg disappearance). However, this planet will be discovered by the Borg, and naturally Lord Walper shall be investigating it. Interestingly, all forces of good on this planet have been thoroughly crushed (possibly an alternate dimension this planet comes from). Furthermore, it's Dark Lord and Lord Walper will share common interests...the alliance will be producing some interesting ideas I think.
The rules are changing. Who now has the strength to stand against the armies of Walper, and Mordor?
To stand against the might of Sauron and Walper, and the union of the two powers?
Together, Lord Sauron, we shall rule this Middle-earth.
And one Ring to rule them all.

"As if I didn't have enough problems."
"We could always bring in help, should the Dark Lord give us trouble."
*Galadriel ponders.*
"Indeed. But that may not be enough."
In other words, this is bad. Anyway, if you get the One Ring, then Galadriel should get back Nenya, the Ring of Adamant, right?
Of course, the Master of the One Ring can sense where the Rings of Power are, and who is wearing them.

I had a feeling you'd be saying something, Ra. :) Plus, I thought this turn of events would give you some more material to work with.Ra wrote:"As if I didn't have enough problems."
(Not overly so though...this particular Middle Earth has no light...the forces of Mordor rule here. And with the Dark Collective now at their disposal, their power can only become all the more fearsome. ;))

I don't see why not, so long as it doesn't just pop up from no where. :PRa wrote: In other words, this is bad. Anyway, if you get the One Ring, then Galadriel should get back Nenya, the Ring of Adamant, right?

I doubt she would have gotten rid of the thing altogether, but I haven't read the ROTK book yet. The rings lost their power with the desturction of the One and went west with their bearers.

Hence, my implication this particular planet of Middle Earth came from another realm where Sauron didn't lose. :Pfrigidmagi wrote:The rings lost their power with the desturction of the One and went west with their bearers.
