You should start ficwriting...

The cost of fic writing is thus:

Decent writing skill (Priceless, but then again, you've either got it or you haven't)

A Word Processor. Assuming that you are running a viable computer, WordPad or NotePad should be more than enough.

So... writing a fic costs, from the above, free with whatever you use your computer for. Knowing you Walper... I'd say sith and borg pr0n is the most likely usage, but you never know.

Never did get people's continued mentioning and seeming interest in Borg 'porn'. Must be some type of fetish I'm not aware of and wish to continue being so.

Well... it's much cheaper. And I'm betting that it took more energy to get that outfit, didn't it?

Actually, it didn't. I just pointed and clicked, and said pieces were delivered to my doorstep.

There's also costs...

That would have cost you some small sum of money. The ficwriting would have cost you... well... not a damn thing basically.

That set of protective gear only cost me twenty bucks. And considering I have to work for money whether I feel like it or not, it pretty much falls into the catagory of "not doing it yourself".

Money is still money.

Fics are free... and much more entertaining.

They're also (if you design your own universe) a really good way to MAKE money...

Its costs range into the negatives.

Ultimately, fanfic writing is free, yes. More entertaining is subjective.

But really, who cares? Enough with the fanfic arguement hijacking my thread.

So the company that produces the chest piece I was eying no longer makes those models. What a pissoff.

So after some digging around and typical Walper stubbornness, I finally found a replacement piece that I think would work well with the original idea:

Compiling it with my costume idea thus far achieved, it doesn't look half bad:

My only issue being that the vest here is more open than the last one. However, I don't see any reason that cannot be solved with a simple black muscle shirt underneath to get the same basic effect as my previous choice.

Furthermore the back is exposed, which won't do. So now I may have to add some type of protective 'spinal column' armor of some sort to complete the suit.

Any suggestions on that aspect welcome.

Here's an idea...

Abandon Armour Altogether...

It is too restrictive, and true (non cyborg) Sith Lords prefer to use speed, agility and the Force to confound their foes. There's more solace to be found in not getting hit at all than to resist the hits when they land. And even cortosis offers little respite from Lightsabre blades.

Since the 'armored' look isn't intended to be protection from lightsaber strikes, that's a moot point.

And the suit is supposed to have a slightly armored look to it, that's the idea. It's not intented to protect in any way that hinders mobility, speed or flexibility.

This here may be what you're looking for in regard to the back... you'll need to trim that groin protection off, but aside from that it should go on your back well enough with a little adjustment.

As for Hotfoot's suggestion of 'ninja shoes', here's some:

There's a couple of back/spine protector's I've found so far:

The second one I think would look the best with the new chest piece over it. Keeping in mind I'd be wearing a light black muscle shirt under it.
