That's basically it, really. I'm now in Heidelberg, after having flown in to Frankfurt and staying there one night.
On the morrow I shall be heading to Munich by train, and trying to write at least some of FLOAT on the way there.
Also, I have figured out that there is one good way to aggravate a sore throat, and that is to be on an airplane for eight hours.
There is also one good way to help it die off. So far while I've been in Germany it's rained more than it has for the last month in Illinois. Figure it out for yourselves; it's not that hard.
As a last note, Germany needs to learn how to put the y and z in their correct places on a keyboard.
More when I get a chance.

Y and Z ARE in their correct places. It's not our fault that the rest of humanity hasn't figured out their proper placement so far
And welcome to the wonderful german weather. Don't expect it to change anytime soon.

Day Five: Scottish Ninja's report from München
Well, it did take me a bit of time to get back on, so there's a bit to say now.
Well, anyway, (I hate the word. It has two y's, and QWERTY came first), Heidelberg was a nice town; a bit touristy, but not bad at all. The place at least has some character to it with buildings that are NOT necessarily faceless concrete slabs.
I went up to see the local castle and walked around on the Alte Brücke a bit. I'll elaborate later.
Munich's a very nice city, but I shall be leaving it to-day in my journey across the border to Salzburg. More from there if I can.
