Anyone remember playing those early 3D games with 3dfx card? So what's your most favorite?
Mind is actually Voodoo 2 and Voodoo 5. Voodoo 3 is nothing more but a pair of Voodoo 2 in a single card, with nothing really new about it. And the cool thing about Voodoo2 SLI is actually you can pair it with another video card like TNT2 or Rendition Verite, and get the best of both worlds! (Glide and Direct3D)
Right now, Voodoo5 Mac is still my fave because it's got a DVI connector; something pretty rare for a card for that era. Imagine playing your Glide games through DVI!
PS: and yes, Chris. I am a fuddly-duddly old man!
What's your most favorite 3dfx card?

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with romance, with marriage, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.

I voted that you should quit living in the past and move into this nice bright place we call the future. We have games like Morrowind and Rome: Total War.
As an ex-MacMan, I can apperciate this to a certian extent. The DVI is nice for that era, real nice. But the Mac is like Linux, it turns you into a console gamer.Kreshna Aryaguna Nurzaman wrote:Right now, Voodoo5 Mac is still my fave because it's got a DVI connector; something pretty rare for a card for that era. No, no. I pick a Voodoo5 Mac only for its DVI connector; with certain BIOS flash, you can put a V5 Mac on a PC while keeping the DVI connector.JEAP wrote:I voted that you should quit living in the past and move into this nice bright place we call the future.
