Why a sleepy B4 is a cranky B4:
BraidedShinigami: there
BraidedShinigami: it is done
BraidedShinigami: posted
BraidedShinigami: now my supermushed brain requests a superrest from all the supertalk of superstuff
DarkSteele: so, super was flying all superlike and he took a super breath and knocked a supertree down in the superswamp
BraidedShinigami: You know what superpower I want right now?
BraidedShinigami: super intelligence
DarkSteele: why?
BraidedShinigami: so I can invent a way to stab people like you in the face over the internet

A small note before I run off to do some business.

My char is extremely paranoid... so don't try sneaking up behind him.

Note about Adam Thorne:

He speaks in a typically English dialect, yet the accent is Scottish. For an example: Pippin from the Lord of the Rings movies.

Heads up on Camie: I'm adding (rather faulty) flash teleportation into her repertoire in place of the kentic energy control.

Just add it in anyway, no need to replace anything...

There doesn't need to be a specific subset of powers to be restricted to.

I say we pause here for awhile to let Nitram, Silver, and Cynical catch up to us. We don't want them to miss the fun.

Unless of course someone else has pressing matters that means they won't be able to be here a bit later.

I would agree. Of course, we also need to wait for FM, and for our GM. Lazy bastard...

Sorry about the edit guys. Kind of realized after I posted that such an action as jumping into a room full of armed men and who knows how many metas was completely out of character for my guy to do.

We've got a problem with the building architecture here...

Me, Charon, Fisher and Dak are on the 'top'-- fourth floor. So, I think, is Nit. Cat's a floor or two below.

So which floor are the freaks on? :?

Alright, I'm going to politely once. I don't mind frequent posting. But advancing shit at such a rate will piss me off. And if I keep having to refresh 20 times before I can post once I will take out my frustration on my players.

If it happens again I will lock the thread till I get *MY* say and then let you all post.

I'd say third... so Cat can be situated on the second floor

That puts him on the floor under us... minor edit.

And I'll post a little slower. This is my first, which is probably rather obvious...

Thanks darlin'.

I know you said so for your sanity and I respect that.

However, on a personal note, I came back into town Sunday night, crashed, and went straight to work. I check the posts and everyone has already given their entire life stories, made teams and allies, and are ready to go.

Am ready starting out behind.

Do I need to bow out this time around?

Frankly, I can only post with somewhat regularity on evenings which are not weekends, and then, I have to do so around sports games, bellydancing, school for me AND school for the kids, and general errands.

Is this game going to be hardcore pace?

Thanks for letting me know ahead of time.

Hopefully not Brat seeing as I hope some of the too eager members have now figured out what is acceptable and what is not. However to be safe I'd try not to get highly involved in the plot (sort of do what Rukia is doing at the moment). The game will probably calm down soon and get a slower pace.

Yeah.

I think I will wait to introduce my character into an already established setting.

Hopefully the pace will be slower. Basically, I am not out...yet. Just waiting.

In the meantime, I will take my time piecing my character and background together.

......There's a reason Cat and I stopped just when we were going in this morning, was to give people at least a chance to arrive and getsome involvement....

what the hell people?

Slow the fuck down, give others - ESPECIALLY the GM - time to post, and stop auto killing everyone!

A Note: Adam is immune to mind-altering drugs and the like... so he'd probably be one of those who can keep a cool head in this situation. If still being pretty damn useless power-wise until the sun sets.

EDIT: Alter that to: Resistant. They can affect him over a prolonged dose... they just never had the chance to in this instance.

Hopefully this pace won't be as nightmarish as the first night posting spree that seems to inevitably happen with most games...

But I can't give you an honest answer at this point but hopefully it will fizzle out a little and proceed at a sane pace. Honestly I'd follow Rukia at the moment and I'll work you guys in after this snafu. Post something for your character if you feel it appropriate and post a more finalized sheet in the sheet thread.

I know your schedule is nuts, my schedule is nuts, a few of us have nutso schedules. So no worries.

Okay, I'm in - here's a preliminary version of my character.

Name: Reilly (often appended with "the Crazy Sniper"

Sex: Male

General body stats(height, weight, race, etc): 6'1", about 180 pounds, Caucasian, decently fit

History: Numerous, varied, and entirely conflicting accounts abound. One indicates several years spent in NZ and UK military service as well as time spent as a cargo pilot before becoming a mercenary; this would leave no room for time supposedly spent driving in Italy. Other accounts have him working for the US military and yet others detail service with a Canadian volunteer group around 1990. However, all sources confirm he was born on August 11, 1968 in the suburbs of Chicago and grew up there. Details begin to conflict shortly after his graduation from high school, but all confirm that at this time he is an independent and highly skilled mercenary.

Origin of Powers: Extensive training

List of Powers (Limited to 2, please): Extreme sniping accuracy, extreme agility

Description of powers(what it's used for, how its used, requirements for use, range, duration, etc): Almost never misses with preferred weapon, the Barrett M82. His agility allows him to keep out of harm's way, preferring to try and dodge bullets rather than wear heavy body armor.

Profile of character(Personality, general fluff, advanced education, particular skills: Reilly has been reported to be a bit of an asshole at times, especially during combat. He often toys with his targets, leading them around in circles while he destroys them one by one with his pistol. Of course, he is not above using far superior firepower when necessary, and will call in air strikes to plaster an area simply to remove a few guards. When pressed, he is rather deadly in hand-to-hand combat - on one occasion, he killed seven soldiers in under a minute with a single brick. He is both extremely violent and a calm tactician, but his entire experience is against badly trained soldiers.
