I ask for the last time. Who are you? Are you a research member? And why should I not burn you where you stand?!

The figure dodged the thrown spike.

Saibot laughed, of course Blackheart attempted to take control of the situation.

"This is a joke....for one, I don't need my blade to take you down....and two, like Legacies said, there's alot more than me you need to worry about here. But to show you I'm a nice guy....I'll help you look for whoever is holding a conversation in Legacies brain. Deal?"

"Don't know. If you have any talent for finding it, your assistance would be appreciated." Blackheart pulled out his phone as he ascended for a better view. "Get me some god damned reinforcements pronto," he whispered. "I've got half a dozen metas a hair a way from going completely bat shit."

And now the pigeons made themselves useful. A telepath could probably play with their senses and avoid detection. But what were the limits of this one's concentration?

He called out the birds. There must have been 50 of them. He asked hem very politely through their minds to search the viscinity and report any cryptic or odd individuals they found. They did of course comply. Afterall, he asked politely.

The birds flew all around the area of the city searching every rooftop until they found what they were looking for.

Every last one of them landed on Niner, and shat on him.

"The pigeons tell me he is on the roof of the building to our immediate rear."
he got an image back, but was too amused to say anything about that...

Legacies turned to Blackheart. "Shut up Government Boy, it's hard enough to think without your training constantly buzzing in my ear. They must have really pussied out in basic training to let a man like you through the ranks." Legacies heard the voice again. He yelled out over the crowd.

"Anyone who is not a psychic, leave. This may get messy as some moron with an agenda seems to think I'm one of his targets. Wouldn't want anybody to get hurt when this moron attacks his wrong target."

"Be back in a flash."

The figure melded with the shadows and disappeared. Using this ability he scoured the nearby area, emerging briefly to see if anyone was hiding in the dark observing the group from afar. He emerged on top of a rooftop that had a clear LoS on the group below. There he found a figure sitting and watching. Quickly, the figure retreated back into the shadows to reemerge where the group was standing.

"Rooftop, behind us."

Niner felt the pigeon shat on his cloak. He was behind a large crowd that had begun to murmur after hearing Legacies' warning. He grabbed the pigeon with TK and hurled into a wall. He 'ported into the air, hurled a weak energy ball (he didnt have time for a powerful one, so this one was mainly a concussion force) at Legacies and 'ported away to a rooftop down the street where he could see what happened. He focused his mind and started producing his 'dont notice me' jamming. Anyone who came in range would get the effects.

Blackheart dropped on Saibot like a hawk. His fist smash Saibot into the concrete so hard that it cracked. The meta's life support field saved his bones from being shattered, but more than a few cracked or broke. He slid to the pavement unconcious. "That's fucking it. Everyone who is cooperating is under arrest. Everyone who doesn't want to spend ten or more years in a federal pen or worse get that fucking teep!"

Once again, the new figure descended into the shadows, only to ascend a few metres safely away from the incoming bolt... of something.

Safe for the moment, he called out to his new compatriots.

"A plan would be momentous, at this stage gentlemen."

Blackheart rose into the air. Don't notice me jamming didn't work too well after the purple mutant had drawn attention to itself by attempting homicide. Even if Blackheart's central nervous system had been normal, attacking and then attempting to vanish was pushing uphill. He spotted the freak in seconds. A blue-white beams of intense heat pointing the way to the rest of the group as he triggered his flash vision.

Legacies turned as the warnings came, he saw the ball of energy coming at him and he did the first thing he could think of. A spike of suit flew from his arm and collided with the ball, the resulting explosion was mostly concussive and wasn't all that impressive. Mark looked over to where the insane government boy had just cracked Saibot for no reason. A thick tendril whipped out and knocked the mad agent off of Saibot. Now Mark began looking around. There, way back was the Psychic. With two steps to start Mark quickly jumped into the air, shot out a tendril and whiplashed himself towards the creature with an amazing speed. "And you! You were at the binary!"

'The fools legacies and saibot will be dealt with later' the lycanthrope thought to himself as he called down the wrath of earth itself. He could see very clearly in the night. The sky was cloudy.

He concentrated, pouring mental energy into controlling the elements. If he could get water to condense, he could control it.

Yes.. the clouds were relatively heavy. It was exhausting, and he couldnt afford interruptions. Water formed around dust particles and fell from the sly around the pokemon look alike. And promptly froze. The searing beams of light from Blackheart would melt them easily enough... but it wasnt the hail that was importnt. he combined the hailstones into softball sized projectiles which slammed into the telepath or whatever defenses he could muster. There was not enough water in the clouds to sustain it for more than a few seconds. But he could tightly control where those hailstones fell and where they flew

Niner dodged to the right and barely missed the eye beams. He felt the intense heat burn his left arm. Niner focused and the teleported away. He rapidly teleported away from the scene. He reached his 'lair,' the old adondoned attic of an opera house. He made it inside and closed the door. He took off his cloak and laid it a chair. He examed his burned arm. Burned, but not too bad. Niner washed it, and laid in his 'nest'. With his tail and body he couldnt fit in a bed right. So, his nest was a pile of blankets and pillows. Niner closed his eyes and relaxed.

The little bastard teleported out...

Quickly, before they could do damage, Avatar melted the hailstones and the water rained like a shower over that small area.

Michael Kovacs looked at the miniature hailstorm that formed on the rooftop, which then turned to rain.

"Impressive." he commented to the towering crocodillian, with a somewhat ironic tone of voice..

Legacies landed on the roof just as the telepath ported. With a howl of rage he looked around, trying to get a glimpse of his prey, but it was gone. With an uneasy breath Legacies staggered. What the hell? That meta... which meta... that one from before... before Liberty. The effects were still. Crap. Had to focus. He looked and felt on the ground, he thought he'd seen the creep get hit by that beam. Maybe there was something left. Legacies stumbled again, the adrenaline was wearing off. Oh hell.

"He's a teleporter, but he might be only a short ranger. Have your friends check any abandoned areas within a klick or so. There won't be many."

He descended to just hovering. To Kovacs he said, "sorry about the welcome." He eyed the special team securing Saibot and his gear.
