Mark made certain that everything was safe before the sweeper squads showed up. He spent some extra time swinging around, enjoying the relative freedom this gave him before he returned to the headquarters. Mark stepped into the cafeteria and noticed some of the others, the kid, Blackheart, and the robot. Grabbing a drink he walked up behind them, his suit shifting into an old military outfit though his head remained under the same silver coating.

"Eh, we're not really done though are we? Yeah we got the telepath and some others, but the real objective is to find the Senator. Just how are we gonna do that anyways?" Blast asked taking another bite.

Mark sat down and took a drink as the suit pulled away from his lips. "One thing at a time. First we need to make sure this telepath will be on the level with us. After that between mister sees the future and him we might be well on our way to making some progress. I'd say right now though we need to find out where Dynamo or Hazard is. After that it can't be too hard to work our way from there."

"Well one of them was a mercenary right? If you were a merc would just kidnapped a major government figure, wouldn't you want to get as far away from that government as possible?" Blast asked.

Mark nodded. "Plus he was the one that we think made off with the senator. He's gonna be long gone by now. I'd say our best chance to find him is if some cameras or satellites caught his crew jumping around. Other than that we only have Dynamo to go to, and I don't think we'll get anything useful out of him, especially seeing as we all have these nice shiny government badges now." The suit shifted to display a gaudy, ridiculous badge that was an obvious fake which was pinned right over Mark's heart.

Blast snorted.

"There's badges and then there's badges." He replied. He had a buddy in college who had been on the wrong side of the tracks before the Marines straightened him out. He'd been a drug dealer... Who worked for the cops.
Blast had learned alot about the state of police corruption from him.

Avatar walked into the cafeteria, still in his hybrid form. He order the fish, waited a moment, then walked over and crouched next to the others. He would have sat down, but he didnt want to transform and be nude, nor did he want to hut his tail. Nonetheless he was still at eye level with the others.

Unfortunatly, in his hybrid form, he didnt have teeth to chew. So he kind of grabbed one of the fish with his teeth and let if tall down his gullet

"Strategic Situation: Two groups attack prominant figure. One objective is to kill, the other objective is to capture. Assassination ultimate objective straightfoward, intimidation, terror, havoc. Abduction ultimate objective unknown. Several possibilities exist, likely scenarios include: Access to classified information, brainwashing, artificial replacement, personal vendetta. Both groups united against law enforcement and vigilante support. Suggested course of action: investigate and assault failed group, attempt to get information concerning successful group. Reasoning: Failed group likely attempting reprisal to achieve original objective, and have already obtained intelligence concerning target base of operations and location of hostage. Additional Benefit: Removal of dangerous fringe group who would attempt to kill hostage again if freed, group clearly inferior in abilities to objective group, allowing recruits further time to adjust to normal operations." He turned to look at Blackheart. "Assessment, Commander?"

Seven leaned back against the wall of his cell and looked at the ceiling, he was still in shackles and had already come up with a few ways to at least get out of the damn cell. Granted breaking out of the cell was probably the dumbest thing he could possibly do at this point which limited him back to just one choice, continue to sit and wait.

Niner put his feet up onto the bed in the cell.

Hmmm, nothing to do. Could escape, wouldnt help. Ooooh.

Niner smiled.

"Nobody knows the trouble I've seen!" Niner started sung.

Blackheart stopped shovelling down pasta for a moment, chewed, and swallowed. "Its as good a plan as any," he said. He took a long pull on his glass of water. "It will also give us the opportunity to take another run as a team without having Abaddon adding more notches to his gun, so to speak. Him alone is bad. With high powered back up, he's worse."

Avatar finished gulping down another piece of fish, took a breath, and spoke

"Sounds good to me. WHat are we going to do with those prisoners. I could have sworn I felt several different ports when I was patting the cyborg down, he may be useful for recon"

"Cybernetic subject came willingly with minimal fuss. Once subject's file has been processed and checked for any crimes, subject will likely be incorporated into current task force with options for long term service. Human subject potentially dangerous, and potentially faces severe jail time. Humanoid has existing charges, but came willingly with moderate fuss. Amnesty for service with potential long term service likely outcome." He stood up, looking at the rest of the group.

"I will check on processing and integration process, unless there is any further business that needs to be covered." Assuming this was the case, Mark 25 made his way to the holding cells, picking up the files on the three prisoners along the way.

In the holding cells the guards were looking at each other and at the new captives. From the singing and foot tapping it had the fixings for a scene from a bad comedy movie.

Their paperwork had been filed and their records pulled where they could be found. An agent would be down shortly to interview them, and depending on the situation, interrogate them.

Power restrains had been placed on them all to limit their abilities. In the case of the cyborg, steps had been made to limit his power output. He wouldn't be deactivated but he would be severely limited in his abilities.

"I require you to retrieve for me more metas. The time is near at hand."
"The feds are going to be breathing down our neck as it is over the senator. You can't possibly be serious in wanting us to go back out th-urk!"

Abaddon's voice became strangled as his eyes bulged out. He felt his windpipe being crushed beneath the phantasmal fingers. The figure before him stood unmoving, insubstantial, a bored look of impatience in his eyes.
"I am serious. You can go get me more metas. And you will. You won't have to look long. Events are already in motion. You simply need to show up..."
--------------

"This just in... an anti-meta protest rally being held near the memorial park where Senator Sherman has come under attack by a group of metas. The metas have been identified as one of the groups involved with the kidnapping of the senator."

The camera view changed from the reporter to a scene of chaos. Demonstrators holding signs depicting anti-meta propaganda slogans were all around, some laying on the ground, dead or injured, others fleeing in terror.

Another blast of lightning flashed from off camera, knocking a large chunk of concrete from an ornamental fountain. Sounds of screams and shouts were predominant on the audio.

The reporter's voice came over replacing the audio, though the video kept running.
"Police are on the scene and are attempting to control the situation. They've begun trying to evacuate the demonstrators. At this moment Ultima support has not been forthcoming."

------------

A runner came into the cafeteria, trying to find Agent Blackheart. He carried with him a single piece of paper, a quickly typed report on the situation at the park. When he found Blackheart he handed him the paper.
"Agent Blackheart! We've got a situation. You and your team are on for the op. Your orders."

Gravitas was on the scene unwillingly. He had come to unravel the gravitational links that would let him follow the Senator's disappearance.

The protest didn't bother him. He seemed a normal human to most. He certainly didn't dress like the Metas. Then it all went to shit in short order. His Ultima caretakers were conspiculously absent, probably calling for artillery. It would take too much time...

A lone figure strode out against the Metas attacking the human protestors. He rose above the crowd, floating on his own personal gravity field. "A God exists to protect his lessers." He spoke. It was not the restrained, calm voice of Philedelphia. It was not a voice of a human. It reverberated and carried despite being a soft tone. He lifted an arm, hefting chunks of the street to form a barrier to protect the evacuating civilians.

Damn. He muttered as he tried to erect defenses. Too many humans. Too many civilians. I can't attack without way too much damage. Come on, Ultima. Prove you're worth my tax dollars.

Mark got to his feet, the old comfortable military uniform disappearing to his usual silver outfit. All he needed was a place and an affirmation and he'd be there.

Mark 25 entered the holding area, files in hand. He looked at the three prisoners in turn. "Having reviewed your files, two of you do not qualify for immediate amnesty. Subject Seven is cleared to volunteer at this time. Subject Niner is offered amnesty from current charges. Subject Anderson is under federal investigation and requires further investigation. Given testimony of subject Seven, amnesty is not applicable."

The large cyborg motioned to the guards to open the cells for Seven and Niner. "Subject Niner is reminded that several charges are still pending, and regardless of subject's opinions about charges, proper proceedure will be followed in a court of law. Amnesty exists to mitigate charges and prove usefulness to society. Attempts to flee from service or willfully commit further crimes will be reflected poorly in your records."

Mark 25 motioned for the guards to remove the power dampening devices as he turned towards Seven. "Subject Seven, you are not being formally charged with any crimes. Given the nature of the current situation, the Agency would appreciate your continued assistance bringing this city back to peace and order."

Seven looked up at Mark 25 “All right I’m in but I’m going to need to get my guns back, and it would help if I could get to my car to get a few more or if you have some I can borrow that would work too.

I came in here with, an assortment of knives and two FN Five-Sevens I usually supplement that with an FN-P90 but I dont think you have one with an active cammo system. If I can just get my weapons back I can deffinately make due, I'll just make sure I dont get in to tight of a spot. I'm deffinately gald I wore my armored chest plate today.

Though he kept his face neutral, inside, Niner was a hairs breath from freaking out.

They knew his name.

Oh fuck, oh fuck. I didnt tell them. They know. Oh god, they know who I am. But, their offering amnesty. Do they really know what I am? Oh fuck. Ok, stay calm, dont freak out yet. You can still pull your ass out of this one. Probably the amnesty is just for the charges that fed boy was talking about. God, that silver shit knew me. And I'd felt him before. FUCK! He probably told them about me. Fuck, should have killed him when I had the chance. Shut up, you'll be fine. Just dont freak out.

"Of course," Niner said.

Mark 25 nodded to Seven. "Affirmative. Weapons will be returned shortly. I am not aware of this office's armory contents at this time, but it is open to you as you are deputized." He looked at Niner and motioned for them both to follow him. "Very well, please come with me."
