My autoupdater tells me Firefox 1.5.0.2 just came out, and the release notes say 3 major memory leaks have been fixed.
They also have written a program to help find more memory leaks, though it seems to be Linux only for now. It looks like Mozilla is finally working to turn their browser into a respectable peice of software.
I've not yet tested the new version myself, when I do, I'll post my results on memory usage. I have high hopes though.

Well, finished some testing. A few small memory leks fixed, but there are still some large ones here. Also it's caching system just eats more and more RAM. I am a big fan of caching, but when it starts to slow things down, that defeats the purpose.
So firefox still burns RAM like nobody's business and starts to waste CPU, especially after a couple days of use and lots of right click save image as'ing.

I shut off my computer every night, so it never really becomes a problem for me.
Never shall innocent blood be shed, yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river.
The three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeful striking hammer of god.
