#1 Homebrew Forgotten Realms OpenRPG campaign seeking 4 players
Hello, I am looking to find 4 more players for my upcoming Forgotten Realms campaign using the Tensided Roleplaying System. Anyone seeking a new look at a familiar setting is in for a treat! Looking to start the campaign on Sunday, May 7th, and play on Sunday afternoons using OpenRPG. If this sounds like your cup of tea, feel free to post your interest here or on our forums. A more complete description will follow in the next post.

Love the Forgotten Realms setting, but eager to try an RPG system other than D&D? Looking for a group of people interested in roleplaying, but tired of condescending attitudes? Look no further!
This campaign will be set in the Forgotten Realms and use the Tensided Roleplaying System, a class-less, level-less, skill-based system that I have been running in one form or another for the past seven years. The campaign will feature an epic storyline, battles with terrifying creatures, and backstabbing intrigue.
In the Dalelands, two apprentice wizards defended a small village from a bandit raid, but these were no ordinary wizards. These mages used a type of magic never before seen in all the Realms, magic so versatile and powerful that any who mastered it could be the greatest wizard who ever lived. Word spread like wildfire, and now every nation and organization wants to find these mages, for reasons ranging from benign to hideous.
The players are members of one of these organizations, the Purple Dragons of Cormyr. Hand-picked by Alusair Obarskyr, Regent for the throne of the kingdom, the players were selected for their bravery and potential to find these mages and bring them back safely to Suzail, the capital. Success means that the players will finally be promoted to full members of the Purple Dragons. Failure is not an option.

We both know what my status is as far as the game is concerned.

What time-zone is this? And, I'd have to actually learn tensided, too...

Question:
Is the Ten-Sided system the same as WhiteWolf's system? I can't access it from my work computer. (stupid nanny-bot)

Tensided is a game system created by myself. It bears little resemblance to White Wolf's system.
I'm on California time, so my timezone is PDT (GMT - 07:00). We are tentatively planning on running the campaign from 10 AM to 1 PM on Sundays, so it shouldn't be a problem for Europeans.
Learning Tensided is not a problem. I expect players to have never heard of Tensided in their lives. There will be a guided character-making session where I explain everything and give tips, and the first few sessions will involve a lot of me explaining how things work. To get an idea of what you might be getting yourself into, here is the campaign's subforum on the Tensided BBS.
P.S. A Scottish Dalesman warrior sounds like a fine idea. :)

This is the campaign's setup:
Me wrote:There are two practicioners of a new type of magic called channeling. Channelers can cast their spells without memorizing them before-hand and without running out of spells. What's more, their spells are custom built upon casting, and can almost literally do anything, given that a mage has sufficient power and skill. These channelers are capable of replicating any wizard or cleric spell and more.

As it's FR, I assume uber-mages are the order of the day?

There are rules for standard wizards to be converted to tensided yes. I dont know how that will work necessarily, but yeah... it is FR and all that it entails.

Only 1 spellcaster, though, seeing as how we already have the 2 channeler mages. Whoever calls the spellcaster first gets it.

I would call it, but I'm thinking of doing somthing other than a 'caster, especially in a new system; so... anyone else?

There certainly doesn't have to be a spellcaster besides the two apprentices. I posted some new threads on the Apprentices subforum regarding making characters and the upcoming orientation session. I would appreciate if interested players would make a post in the orientation thread saying whether you can make it.
Also, could we take further discussion of the game to the Tensided forum (link given above)? It is easier for everyone when everything is all in one place.
